For starters, if you’d actually read the post that you’re bitching on, you’d know that I don’t actually ship JayTim. Frankly, I don’t give a singular shit about the pairing. I take issue with people harassing others and telling them they should die or kill themselves over a ship consisting of legal consenting adults. Or over a ship in general. Which is actually what that post was about (as that was what whatsherface was doing, telling people they should die or kill themselves and rallying others to do the same): Pointing out that it’s 1. Not pedophilia as uninformed people such as yourself seem to think it is, and 2. It’s not OK to tell people to kill themselves or that they should die because of a ship of consenting legal adults. Or a ship in general. It’s just a fucking gross thing to do. And if that’s a thing you’re trying to defend or advocate for, or that you do yourself, then you’re a piece of shit.

There’s plenty of ships that I’m not kosher with, particularly DickDami, which is actually textbook pedophilia. But do I go into the DickDami tags to bother people? No. Why? Because, frankly, I’m an adult with better shit to do, and I don’t get off on harassing people

That being said, let’s address your non-points

1. Where do they say they think of each other as brothers? Especially in post-crisis, where the ship was born, they hated each other. And even so, they’re still not biologically related, they weren’t even raised together and in post-crisis, didn’t really even know each other all that well. Full disclosure: I’m using post-crisis because frankly I didn’t care much for New52 or and haven’t read much Rebirth so I don’t know much about their interactions in the newer universes, as I, again, don’t follow the pairing.

2. Tim is canonically small. He’s the smallest (aside from Damian) Bat Boy, at 5′7 irrc. Hence why fan artists tend to draw him as small, because he is. But just because some fan artists depict him as a ‘tiny fairy’ doesn’t change the fact that he’s legally an adult, nor does it speak for every single person who follows the ship.

3.They’re practically the same fucking age, or did you miss that? Tim is ‘barely legal’ my ass. He’s still a legal adult. An adult, who, nonetheless, ran a multi-billion dollar corporation in Bruce’s absence. Pretty sure he’s capable of choosing who he wants to date. Not to mention, he’s a fucking genius. It’s not like Jason is some 45 year old man manipulating a child into a relationship. Jason is a year, maaaaybe 2 years older than Tim. But realistically and timeline wise, they’re about the same age. So JayTim is really “two young adults decide they wanna fuck”.

4. People who feel the need to degrade or harass others or encourage violence against them based on them shipping two adults are disgusting. So just say you’re an asshole who gets their jollies bothering people on the internet for shipping things you don’t like and keep it moving.

To wrap up: They’re both legal adults who are roughly the same age and are not biologically related, nor did they grow up together. If they want to enter into a relationship... so? It’s not pedophilia and no one is harmed by it. Not to mention, no one is forcing you to look at JayTim content. So, encouraging violence against people or attacking them because they ship something you don’t is fucking disgusting and tacky as all hell.

Despite you wanting to make me unable to reblog it, and blocked the post, I’m going to post this anyway, to:

1. Show how wrong you are 2. Point out how toxic and awful things like this are.

1. There’s a vast difference between pedophilia and two teenagers dating. Depending on the ages they are shipped (most jaytim I’ve seen puts them in late teens, early 20s but frankly, I don’t follow the pairing). Not to mention that mentally, Jason is still in his teens (as well as physically, depending on the time frame he’s being shipped), and Tim is (depending on the universe) a legally emancipated minor, about 17. Considering the legal age of consent in New Jersey is 16, the state off of which Gotham is based, it’s also both not illegal and not legally pedophilia.

2. It’s not incest if they’re not biologically related, which they aren’t. (Technically aren’t even legally related since Jason is legally dead). They didn’t even grow up together, since Jason died before Tim was adopted by Bruce. So, not even remotely incest.

3. Given that it’s not incest, and not pedophilia, and not illegal it’s not abuse.

So, you’re basically saying "I don’t like a pairing, a thing that in no way shape or form impacts me, so I hope people die.”

Seriously. Get some help.

Wishing death on someone, someone who is doing literally nothing that impacts anyone, least of all you, is sick and wrong. You talk about abusers, but all you’re doing is hiding behind a computer screen like a cowards and flinging verbal abuse and encouraging other people to go along with it. 

There is a vast difference between “I think it’s okay for adults to rape children” and “I think it’s okay that these two unrelated teenagers decide to have sex”. Instead of making death threats and wishing harm to people, who don’t agree with your opinions, grow the fuck up, get some help, and learn to blocklist/just fucking ignore ships you don’t agree with.

The thing with Jason is that he really hasn’t formed any close relationships since he came back, and he didn’t have many before he got blown up either. Most of my pairings require a lot of imagination on my part. One pairing that has always appealed to me is JaySteph, because she wouldn’t put up with his bullshit, and I can see him respecting her a lot (especially after finding out she slapped Bruce in the face omg he would bake her like ten cakes).

Fanon JayTim. I see the appeal of the pairing, if they’re IC, but I’ve read so many skeevy fanfictions that just…nonononono. Creeper!Jason/Wilting Flower!Tim makes me want to run for the hills screaming bloody murder.

I had written out a whole elaborate rant about why that characterization pisses me off so much, but that doesn’t really belong here, so, basically… Yeah. :D

That’s not to say I don’t ship JayTim when it’s in-character. JayTim is my two best fandom friends’ OTP, and I enjoy all the good fic that they send me.
