For starters, if you’d actually read the post that you’re bitching on, you’d know that I don’t actually ship JayTim. Frankly, I don’t give a singular shit about the pairing. I take issue with people harassing others and telling them they should die or kill themselves over a ship consisting of legal consenting adults. Or over a ship in general. Which is actually what that post was about (as that was what whatsherface was doing, telling people they should die or kill themselves and rallying others to do the same): Pointing out that it’s 1. Not pedophilia as uninformed people such as yourself seem to think it is, and 2. It’s not OK to tell people to kill themselves or that they should die because of a ship of consenting legal adults. Or a ship in general. It’s just a fucking gross thing to do. And if that’s a thing you’re trying to defend or advocate for, or that you do yourself, then you’re a piece of shit.
There’s plenty of ships that I’m not kosher with, particularly DickDami, which is actually textbook pedophilia. But do I go into the DickDami tags to bother people? No. Why? Because, frankly, I’m an adult with better shit to do, and I don’t get off on harassing people
That being said, let’s address your non-points
1. Where do they say they think of each other as brothers? Especially in post-crisis, where the ship was born, they hated each other. And even so, they’re still not biologically related, they weren’t even raised together and in post-crisis, didn’t really even know each other all that well. Full disclosure: I’m using post-crisis because frankly I didn’t care much for New52 or and haven’t read much Rebirth so I don’t know much about their interactions in the newer universes, as I, again, don’t follow the pairing.
2. Tim is canonically small. He’s the smallest (aside from Damian) Bat Boy, at 5′7 irrc. Hence why fan artists tend to draw him as small, because he is. But just because some fan artists depict him as a ‘tiny fairy’ doesn’t change the fact that he’s legally an adult, nor does it speak for every single person who follows the ship.
3.They’re practically the same fucking age, or did you miss that? Tim is ‘barely legal’ my ass. He’s still a legal adult. An adult, who, nonetheless, ran a multi-billion dollar corporation in Bruce’s absence. Pretty sure he’s capable of choosing who he wants to date. Not to mention, he’s a fucking genius. It’s not like Jason is some 45 year old man manipulating a child into a relationship. Jason is a year, maaaaybe 2 years older than Tim. But realistically and timeline wise, they’re about the same age. So JayTim is really “two young adults decide they wanna fuck”.
4. People who feel the need to degrade or harass others or encourage violence against them based on them shipping two adults are disgusting. So just say you’re an asshole who gets their jollies bothering people on the internet for shipping things you don’t like and keep it moving.
To wrap up: They’re both legal adults who are roughly the same age and are not biologically related, nor did they grow up together. If they want to enter into a relationship... so? It’s not pedophilia and no one is harmed by it. Not to mention, no one is forcing you to look at JayTim content. So, encouraging violence against people or attacking them because they ship something you don’t is fucking disgusting and tacky as all hell.
