INITIALISING... @antignosis
A DUCK AND A STEP of his considerable stature took him through the doors of the store, aptly designated “The Cog and Wrench”. Within, a laboratory format; a large room coated in polished steel, laid out with tables and varying tools catalogued upon each, not a blemish to be seen. As he straightened, so did he proceed into the vicinity, soundless but the gentle metallic thumping of each advancing footfall. Since it had been established, he hadn’t taken the time to truly examine the fruits of his friend’s labour. Unfortunate he should only do so past the closing hour, but all the same, Optimus Prime regarded this success with the smallest of smiles.
Her achievement here would create change, granting kindness to others like them, seeming something alike a haven-- and owing to this, his smile was briefly heartened.
He had paused by then, lingering a short moment at the store’s core. He daren’t touch a thing, so, he simply continued, until at last, he found her toward the rear, likely readying to close. The Autobot greeted her cordially, as was his constant.
❝Hello KOS-MOS. Do you require assistance?❞

[ ✠ ] - it had been a futile endeavour to believe that his second stay in the city would be at least moderately peaceful, as his first one had. after all, reiner was a being that existed to bring strife to humanity; it only made sense that some people would attempt to take his life in exchange for the lives he’d taken in kind. he’d expected quite the large group out for his head, and initially such beliefs were held true as a dozen men surrounded him. however, after one had foolishly tried to rush him without the aid of his comrades, several took off down the street when the would-be first attacker ended up face down on the ground, at least one area of his face bruised to an absurd degree.
that was when the so-called leader of the pack pulled out a firearm. the few of his cohorts that remained cleared away from reiner, and reiner in turn seemed to be scanning the area for any civilians that would be in the way. with none particularly close, reiner made his move. ducking into an alley to give himself some much needed distance, the sound of gunshots rang in the air behind him. thankfully the thug pursuing him was a poor shot, or else he could have already found himself dead where he stood. as he reached the end of the alley, his eyes locked onto the form of a blue-haired woman approaching, and his instincts to protect the person kicked in.
“ you! get away from here, now! there’s a armed man down the alley and i’d prefer it if civilians weren’t caught in the crossfire. ”

She knew how to adapt to new places but she couldn’t help but feel a little afraid not knowing anyone here. Especially since this place was known to be dangerous. However, she forced herself to be brave and matched on out of her apartment.
Until she saw the light blue hair that blurred her vision. Her eyes grew wide as she ran down the streets to greet the person she knew who that hair belonged to.
“KOS-MOS! KOS-MOS! You’re here! Oh goodness I’m so glad you’re safe!” She couldn’t help but giggle as she threw her arms around the android’s waist. She felt a sense of warmth inside herself. Even though she needed to be strong, it was comforting to see someone she truly trusted in this place.

Well, well, what have we got here? He couldn’t really tell. Blue hair, what looked to be very little clothing though it honestly wasn’t very revealing. So there was actually more than he’d seen on some people in this city. He moved around her slowly, cautiously as he observed her, raising a brow slightly. “Alright, I give.” He finally said after circling her like a wolf for a few seconds. “The fuck are you supposed to be?”

BRAVE LITTLE THING, he mused, as it touched down from a branch just overhanging his shoulder. It was larger as he was smaller, a fraction more weight pressuring his pauldron as the animal intended to descend yet again. Deeming it far too great a height to risk jumping, the Autobot reached to lift it up and off his person. In doing so, a bystander alerted him, watchful of the scene. Dwarfing her as he did most others, she appeared an Earthling, but clad differently to what he recalled of human typicality. Regardless, he thought it better to pose the question, than leave it be and simply hope for the best.
With a dart of his optics from it to the stranger, Optimus raised the creature into view carefully as a gesture, hands tucked beneath its arms.
▻ ❝Forgive me, but might this be yours?❞ he knew cats to be a common companion to their species.
▻ ❝Rest assured-- it is unharmed.❞
And he lowered it to the ground as it sounded off a mewl, releasing it, to further demonstrate he meant it no ill will.
