SWEET DREAMS
A superb French Louis XV style bombé carved walnut bed. The bombé is the belly you can see in both head and footboard. This is probably the finest bed in the style we had in the shop in a long time. Signed by the the makers with brass plaques on both head and foot-boards “ A. Hugnet . Fabricant / Paris “
A French furniture maker of the second half of the 19th century. Profusely hand carved walnut with stunning floral designs and cabriole legs. Even the side rails are carved. The bed comes with custom made box spring and mattress of fine quality. The size is very close to a standard American full size bed. Box spring and mattress rest on a metal frame that fits inside the bed and prevents the rails to carry the weight. Ideal for a guestroom.
