i jut don't understand how we know hitting children is wrong, but hitting them across a private area is it's still abuse children dont react differently because of where you hit them

I don't believe in disciplining your child by spanking them.  That's just wrong.

It is considered illegal to hit your partner, even if you believe yourself to have a good reason. It is considered wrong to smack your friends when they make you angry or do something you don’t like. You can get arrested for beating your dog, even if it’s because they ruined your favourite pair of shoes. So why is it seen as okay to hit our children for interrupting us on the phone or making bad grades in school? Why is it acceptable to smack your child on the leg to “teach them a lesson”? Violence has such a huge place in parenting, yet we wonder why our children think it’s okay to hurt others when they don’t get what they want from people.
