1. Amanda

YES MA’AM! This particular piece of ANTM icons is such an ageless sort of magnificence. Amanda’s makeover was amazing, but she is most certainly not resting on her looks here. Her eyes aren’t just burning through the lens, they’re setting even the photographer on fire with that wonderful intensity that just makes me think of Amanda as this unbreakable ice queen. The hand is so simple yet so perfectly placed, and she looks so in control while staying soft. This could work for so many different brands, it’s frankly amazing that we got a shot of this level in the second week.

2. Toccara

Toccara brought such a sophisticated sensuality to her beauty shot. Her hands are exquisite here, they’re so lovely and delicate, especially in how she’s just barely caressing her cheek with her nimble fingers. The face is so stunning here, with her eyes like dark hooks to the soul (Anne Boleyn? We don’t know her.) and the slightly open mouth  that adds to the seductive approach she went for. It’s one of Toccara’s best, and another SCO for her!

3. Nicole

Might have been open t o bumping Nicole up a spot if it wasn’t for the hands. It’s a bit too contrived for me, and are a sufficient distraction for me in the shot. Apart from that, Nicole delivered a great performance in the face. Her bone structure is highlighted really well here, and the confidence she is exuding is amazing. The tiny smile just adds to this composed, poised vibe that goes along with her smize that’s connected so well with the camera.

4. Yaya

Throughout the competition, if anything became clear, it was that Yaya knows how to use her hands expertly in really creative ways. Here, especially, they frame her face beautifully and on their own look so elegant (I’m especially drawn in by how dainty her left hand is and how it’s curled). The face isn’t as strong as Eva’s perhaps, but there is a tranquility there in how unperturbed she is which I think works with her pose.

5. Eva

Wow, I never would have guessed Eva’s natural beauty would be so gorgeous. Her eyes convey a peaceful, almost lamblike disposition, which I think works really well with the way she cocked her head to one side and placed her hands so gracefully. However if you look at it for too long, you start to realise there’s a hint of vacancy behind the eyes, and I have second thoughts about the mouth. It’s still a great shot.

6. Ann

Ann looks so damn stunning, but I am not wholly convinced by the hands, the right one especially, since I feel like it hides her facial structure too much. The smile looks forced and uncomfortable, and one eyes looks more squinted than the other. Overal, the sheer beauty is what brings her up a couple spots, since it does shine despite the flaws.

7. Norelle

I’m surprised at myself for having this on the lower side of the list, and as gorgeous as I feel that Norelle looks, I am too distracted by the weird hands and the mouth that’s halfway to pursing. If it weren’t for that, this would probably be a few spots higher. I do think the soft, angelic vibe she has going on here is amazing, but looking at the whole shot, I don’t think I can place it any higher except for maybe one spot.

8. Kelle

How in the world were the judges so critical of this? They made it seem like Kelle had a terrible photo, but even though it’s common knowledge at this point that she had better shots than this, this really isn’t bad. She has a nice pose, and the hand works, even though I am missing her neck and perhaps lifting her chin slightly so we got a better look at her features. I like the innocent, almost startled expression here too. This isn’t what you would terrific, but it is far from being bad.
