After a literal year of work my Undertale fan animation has finally come together. This was something that started out as a fun interpretation and it ended up being a passion project. I wanted to upload this for Undertale’s anniversary but I am clearly late on that. Regardless I hope you guys like it and share the heck out it!
Sorry for the watermark overkill I worked way too hard on this for someone to just claim it as their own. Regardless, I’m near the end of my Undertale fan project and I figured it was time for a progress report since I need a break from staring at this for hours on end. I’m aiming to have the whole video up within a month or so.
This was a fun little challenge for myself, taking all of my favorite characters and smashing them together to create the greatest edgelord ever known!
Hey guys, long story short I had to put a pause on my Undertale animation because I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to be in the @gamegrumpszine! I can’t show the whole thing right now so here are some cropped screenshots.
“ ♬ ♪ I’d rather be Free, Free, Free... ♪ ♫ ” Still not convinced that song is about Lapis because the true gem who’s trapped is Peridot. Had to do some sketches after that Steven bomb.
I’m usually extremely against process posts, but I have been working on this animation ever since Undertale was released and I’m near the end of this short film. Everything from the background art to character animation was all done by me, myself, and I. It has been the most draining animation I’ve ever done and quite frankly I don’t want to work on a fan created piece for a long time. Needless to say though, this has been very satisfying to complete. I plan on posting the final product on Undertales birthday.
