Tension was high as Nico, Antonya, and Ruby set their luggage on the front porch and waited for the door to open. They didn't say a word to each other; opting to exchange nervous glances instead.

"So, do either of you know who the host is?" Antonya asked cautiously. 

"Nope, the invitation had no name. Whoever they are, they clearly like surprises," Ruby said with an annoyed scoff.

"Hey, you're Ruby Saint Clair!" Antonya's eyes lit up, but Ruby scowled deeply, "I love your movies." 

"That makes one of us," Ruby rolled her eyes in annoyance.

The door opened slowly and a gray-haired man stood in front of them. He cleared his throat, "Welcome to Stonewill Chateau. Please, come in." 

The group was hesitant at first, but Nico picked up his duffle bag and followed the man. The girls followed suit.

The unsettling atmosphere seemed to only bother Nico, since Ruby and Antonya admired the large foyer. 

"This place is... eerie," he paused. "And so are the people." 

Ruby nodded her head as her eyes scanned the room full of people. 

Her heart dropped as she met a familiar set of eyes.
