Zora thought for a few moments. "I used to keep one.. and then the things I started writing down and drawing from them.. got super overwhelming for me. And I need to take a break from that."

And life generally had took them away from actually having the time to cater to such a journal again. But.. maybe it's worth taking it up again.

Laine took a second to process the man's words before nodding slowly with the two drinks she'd already had forcing a rare moment of vulnerability from the woman. "I... know all too well what that's like." Throwing back the shot she'd ordered, Laine grimaced and looked over to Sawyer. "So I'm your girl. What do you need? Another drink? A walk? Some tits?" Laine let out a small laugh to lighten the mood before continuing, "To come back to my place? All of the above? Whatever you need, I'm here for you. Tonight, I am your person."

🦇—-;; The comment makes him pause, though only because he doesn't quite understand why it mattered. If Bruce was actually worried about Jason breaking that he wouldn't have handed it to him. Real eyes flicker up slightly to look at him for a long moment, white lenses narrowing briefly before there is a soft huff.

"If it was that fragile, I wouldn't be trying carrying it around." The detective remarks lightly, still making sure Jason had a decent hold on it before he let go himself. Just because it was unlikely to break, didn't mean he wanted it to be damaged from being dropped. "I trust you're not going to purposely try to crush it anyway, you'd hurt yourself more if you tried."

With that little warning the Bat steps away, there was plenty of other things to do and he wasn't going to stand around and not do them. "Just hold it for me, that's not too much of an ask, is it?"

"We're technically closed now, but I think we can make a little exception for you, eh? Get you some food, maybe a nice drink, and then we can have a little sit and a chat; that sounds nice, doesn't it? And then we get to know all why you're here in Greendale and what you're looking to do, alright? Yeah?" Clasping her hands together, Hilda looked a Jasper warmly. "Now what would you like?"

Sabrina frowned a little, scrunching her nose in thought as she considered the facts and how much they, well, didn't really make sense. At least not to her.

"I just..." she shrugged a little. "I don't get it. Don't vampires, like, have souls anyway? I mean, I've met Vlad the Impaler, and, okay, yeah, he really had to learn what 'consent' meant, and he did try to, you know, bite me, but he definitely had a soul. Sorta. He just...had questionable life choices." But then again Sabrina was used to satanic witches and Lucifer and demons in Hell; her understanding of soul perhaps wasn't the same for a...however old this guy was.

"I guess I don't get what the big deal is. I mean, doesn't every vampire and demon want to think they're special?"
