How India Modern Dazzled At The Amazon India fashion Week Autumn Winter 2016-A Wrap Up

Part 2
Day 3 and 4 of the fashion week, took the theme a notch higher as top designers showcased their interpretation of the India deeply rooted in the past yet developing a global appeal. Here’s a look
Day 3
Chandrani Singh Fllora’s line titled Mritunjay paid a tribute to Lord Shiva. The xx symbols such as the trishul, conch shell and cannabis leaves were displayed on attires that transcended boundaries of formal, casual and sporty. Her clothes are a reflection of the hybrid urban live. She beautifully retained the essence of our roots with the traditional crafting techniques she has used.
Antar Agni by Ujwal Dubey showcased a revamp of the regular dhoti and kurta pajama. These outfits got a modern facelift in the form of pleated and slouchy pants and unstructured, asymmetrica kurtas and jackets.
Rohit Kamra stuck to his signature style of fitted jackets and jodhpur pants a reminder of our regal past. He used an array of cutwork and traditional details on sherwanis and bandhgalas.
Divyam Mehta highlighted shibori patterns, block printing, hand quilting and kantha work on anti-structure samurai pants, waistcoats and trench bandhgalas.
Anupama Dayal put up a range of modern city clothes with a heavy dose of Nagaland’s culture-tattoo motifs, elephant and drum prints woven o khadi cotton dresses and breezy kaftans and off shoulder tops. The quirky headgears inspired from the Naga tribes added to the wild unrestrained vibe that the clothes emanated.
Reynu Taandon too took a leaf out of tribal culture. She presented a young and spunky line of western separates, peasant tops, min dresses infused with colourful embroideries. The casual outfits would work perfectly fine in any part of the world.
Day 4
Ikai by Ragini Ahuja blurred the line between casual and formal to create a rage of every day wear. The maxi jackets, boxy dresses and skirts with appliqué work reeked of Indian women who have broken free of conventions and found their comfort zone in the vast world.
Bodice by Ruchika Sachdeva put the spotlight on indigenous Indian textiles through modern tailoring and classic silhouettes. Classic and understated hues such as indigo, white and beige was in line with the brand’s modest approach to fashion.
Anavila Mishra took her signature sarees in indigenous fabrics and gave it a hip twist by pairing them up with printed pleated skirts, trousers and sweaters. Through this collection she tried to change the perception about saree as an occasion wear to more of everyday wear.

Focus Indiana
Time has kept me quiet tugged in horizon activities, frankly speaking this has been the most frantic ride for me and if you have been following this space then you’re aware of why so!
Now-a-days all my wardrobe inspirations and wish-lists to dress/clothing have taken a laid back and all I facing is the everyday juggle to cope the overloaded trend muse. Eventually I am feeling disenchanted to live…
