This was some strange echoing of what Odin and Frigga had intended for them from the beginning; Thor as king, Loki as his second... except Asgard was little more than dust in the cosmic wind now and what was left of its people - merchants, farmers, families - were cramped into an over-crowded Sakaarian freighter.
It was some how nothing, and yet everything, they had been bred for, but lop-sided and twisted and not entirely right.
Loki had come back - for their people, despite and yet for Thor - and he was uncertain if he was more restless due to the tenuous footing of his position or due to everything he and Thor were not saying.
“Food is going to be an issue.” Loki remarked, surveying the holographic diagram of their ship schematics. As was space, and clothing, and fuel, and everything, but he was concentrating on the most immediate concern, “Regardless of how we ration were are going to need more before we reach Earth. It, and fuel.”
He swiped a finger over the glittering terminal and drew up the fuel reserve status. “We have enough, but if we are forced to make any FTL leaps...” His green eyes flicked to Thor. There was something assessing but decidedly hard to pinpoint in his green eyes.
