Looking to read a fic where Noel isn’t presented as a cold, heartless psychopath with a sliver of repressed emotion (@storyshark2005 phenomenal fic Trying To Find A World That's Been And Gone excepted).

Ya know, the man wrote Talk Tonight and Sad Song and Alone on the Rope and Dead To The World. He kissed his brother on stage. He has candles and flowers in his studio. With passionate red accents. 👀 He spent last Christmas on the sofa eating Quality Street chocolates out of the tin, wallowing in his misery, like Bridget Jones. Quality Street at that! He's human, really. lol He likes Burt Bacharach. He believes in star signs and fate. He's a self-confessed romantic. He's not that repressed.

Still waters run deep i.e the measure of feeling is deep not shallow. Noel's waters run very deep if his songs are anything to go by. Norwegian fjord deep. We get public Noel but private Noel must exist. So yeah, I'd like to read any fic where there's an exploration or presentation of private Noel if there's any.

I have Shower Thoughts which may be incomprehensible

I feel like we have seen plenty of pieces of media which, in some way, subvert the class hierarchy. Triangle of Sadness is the one which springs to mind, but there are loads of other examples. The thing is, they usually come from the minds of wealthy people and therefore explore how class subversion affects the formerly powerful. Which is fine, and Triangle of Sadness is excellent (&gross).

What I would find more interesting, though, is the same concept but from the perspective of a working class person where the film explores their changes. Would they become power-hungry and exploitative? Would they be compassionate because they know what it's like to have nothing? Would there be differences along racial/gender lines? How would someone who, for example, attended a private school on a scholarship fare? Presumably, this would vary between characters, & I'd like to know how their dynamic works out.
