i think its kind of funny how the one thing people usually tell me when i say im a teacher is something along the lines of “wow i would never have the patience for that.” when i dont think im even a particularly patient person and i dont think a good teacher naturally has to be patient. like so many things required for a job its a skill that you aquire through work and expericence and input from others. i think for a lot of “welfare jobs” - for a lack of better word - such as teachers and nurses and so on, people who only interact with us from the outside think that what we bring into our work is just who we are as people instead of a specific set of skills that we have been working hard to achieve both through studies and persional experience. It’s the same as when people say shit like being a nurse is a calling when, no, its literally a job. I think its one of the reasons that some people tend to look down on these kinds of professions, because they dont see us as skilled workers but instead someone on some kind of holy mission and thats why its okay for us to not get paid that much....

Okay, in exactly 8 hours the exam begins... I think I should try and sleep now. I think I’m well-prepared, I even did the example-test our professor has given us for practise reasons... and I managed to finish it in time... but I’m still so nervous, aaahhh, I don’t know if I’ll be able to sleep well tonight :’D
