Important question, does changing my ao3 username change the link of the fic? Like, if I change my ao3 username, would people be able to find my fic by pressing on the link of the chapter in a post I made prior to the change? Or would that link be deactivated due to the different username?

So basically the author does it to hide it, so maybe the author wants to do some changes or something, we don’t know. I’m sure there’s a good reason, but I don’t think we need to worry 🫶🏻

How To Delete Your AO3 Account Correctly!

(Because people are not doing it right)

Step 1: Go to your works (if you have any) and click on one in the top left corner there should be an option that says “Orphan Work” click on that!

Step 2: Do the same for all your other works!

Step 3: Now you can delete your account!

(AO3 is an archive and you deleting your works is defeating the purpose)
