I think one of the many evil things Isayama did for aot was putting us, readers, through the loss of beloved characters in very tragic ways, making us cry over them and let us believe that's the end of them, they no longer exist in the aot universe, but then he threw chapter 132 in our faces

BECAUSE TURNS OUT THE AFTER LIFE EXISTS IN AOT, THE AFTER LIFE WHERE THE CHARACTERS WE LOST WENT AFTER THEIR LIVES ENDED EXISTS

We found out about this just a few chapters before the end, they're still there, in a different plane of existence, watching their comrades, friends and loved ones, they're still there, they'll eventually reunite, and it's one of the facts that hit me harder, makes me want to cry again over them.
