best way to wake up is to a comment that had a theory
because now ive gotten "what is going on" and "i think x is going on"
and its exactly the sort of thing i was hoping would happen with this fic - not knowing for sure is the fun part
because for the first fic ever i sat down and plotted this out - i know whats going to happen and yet i wanted to create that level of you can only strap in for the ride with the main character's prespective and place your bets...
and like youll find out - im so excited for people to find out because I love the whole story's point
i hope i can keep this up and people keep picking up all the implications and making decisions about it.
i just hope no one's uh. mad about uh. not only the plot but the themes. like. regardless of what is and isnt going on - our boy is going to be suffering about it.
ill say this better later but dragons writing a book. we're gonna share the world but primary author is gonna be one or the other but the only one started rn is dragons and im listed as co-creator on ao3. too tired to think straight. be nice to dragon or i will do many safe and legal things.
SPEAKING OF STORIES - rambling nonsensically about them on main as usual when my kudos list came in and

the best i can say is theres an echo / reflection fic of Stolen with Friendship, Captured by Love in the works right now and its definitely its own thing but I'm writing it so i *can* finish that fic sooner because it was one of my more popular ones and i feel bad its been sitting there
Find the Light was more of a concept than a fic - what if dinotopia society but with monsters instead of dinosaurs and its underswap flavored? - there wasn't much of a plot idea, just neat ideas tossed in a blender and I will go back someday just not until my current in works are farther along or some are done
Right One, Wrong Number was more of a play on the wrong number song with a vauge notion of accidental soulmates and gaster being fixed and didnt have much more of an idea than a few jokes and again ill get around to playing with it more i just dont have a solid concept or plot and have a bunch of other things i do have solid plans for that i wanna get out of the way first
the marriage lottery is the one i just updated and has a solid solid idea to the point itll eventually have 10 fics totally in that universe. well. 7 stand alone fics and the 3 parter im working on now. it wont be swallowed by the attention span any time soon
gah. i feel bad because i have 41 posted works and like some of them that i sarted were really popular - for me - and im not working on them yet
in fact i think ive only got. somewhere between... 7 and 9 that I'm trying to consistently update.
and even so my updates are all sporadic as i havent built up the ability to have a consistent writing schedule yet.
we'll get there. slowly but eventually.

My family has always been lucky, and selling me off to the "Nature Spirit" responsible will keep things that way.
I'm not sure who's getting the worse end of the deal though - my modern unloved self being dragged away from everything I know... or these magical beings who are going to be stuck with the worst of what the family they sponsor has to offer.
I don't know how this will turn out but I think I'm done letting my family, or fate, or even some sort of magical contract decide things for me. Maybe I'll turn this whole thing into an opportunity to take control of my life and figure out who I am and what I want without other people deciding that for me.
