Haunt

This city feels so cold

I walk her streets faceless

Trying to remember all the wrong turns

That delivered me here

I cry and beg

To go home

As if I ever had one

I’ve only ever lived in borrowed houses

I try

To settle into cavernous silences

I tell myself I’ll be okay

But no matter where I run

My heart still sifts through my fingers

Pulverized into dust

I try to do what’s expected

But it feels fraudulent

But it feels lonely

I try to build something

From all this sorrow

But how can I build a home out of ghosts?

Harry Potter Theory

Aparation always struck me as  a problematic concept. If a wizard can just appear anywhere at will, what is to prevent a wizard from just aparating into your home and robbing you? You know, like Mundungus Fletcher did.

Theory: You cannot apparate into a residence if you have not already been invited in by the owner.

Like with vampires, a wizard must be invited over the thresh hold.

Come to think of it, do we actually ever see someone aparate directly into a home? Or do they aparate to the garden or street outside? We’ve seen people aparate from room to room, but they were already within the house.
