How would Apathy!Logan affect Thomas...? I hardly see any fics/hc for the aftermath on Thomas's mental health after a side sinks/dies/falls.
The act of Logic itself is split between all of them now, it falls to Virgil to talk reason to Thomas, it falls to Patton to come up with facts that could be helpful, and it falls to Roman to encourage others through those very same facts. But even with them picking up the slack of Logan becoming Apathy, things are still bad. Thomas no longer has the drive to learn new things, he no longer has a drive outside of Virgil shouting at him to meet his deadlines.
Thomas very much falls into a depressive spiral, that just seems to go on and on without something to hold his attention or to create a spark of enthusiasm. There’s nothing there to make him eager about things, he just feels numb to the outside world. Sad things no longer feel sad and..well happy things no longer feel happy.
It hurts Patton to see not only Thomas like this, but Logan as well, because even if Logan wasn’t that eager about sharing his feelings before…now there’s just nothing. No happy enthusiastic grin when space is brought up, he no longer eats, and well..he no longer cares. Just as Thomas doesn’t seem to care anymore, there’s just nothing left of Logic, no matter how much he wishes there was.
And that breaks all of their hearts more than anything, in every sense of the term, they lost Logan.
