Apex Recombinant
The Apex program, unlike the Avatar program, no longer requires integration with local sentient life. Previously, the main requirements were for the Avatar to be as similar to the Navi as possible, so that the pilot could more easily make contact and gain more confidence, as well as facilitate exploration of Pandora without being compromised by the planet's immune system. The new program requires the new Recombinants genetically enhanced to perform their tasks more effective under all conditions. To do this, the regenerated bodies no longer require similarity to the Navi and allow them to instill all the necessary skills to survive in any situation on Pandora.The memory and personality of a trained person in the body of a Navi-derived creature with the addition of genes from various Pandora's Fauna.
Recombinants gain new abilities with new genes
Camouflage: ability to change skin colour to camouflage in the environment.
Thermoregulation: ability to control body temperature.
Sharp retractable claws on hands and feet.
Two long, flexible antennae behind the ears. Ended with fine, sensitive hairs. Helping to detect any movement in the air. Able to pick up vibrations when touching the ground.
To increase mobility and speed, the recombinants have had genes from Earth Felines and long-extinct reptiles added.
The legs become toe walking paws, with a large lateral dangling toe with an enlarged claw for climbing and jumping onto prey with the ability to hold on to it.
Thanator`s genes gave most impact Back covered with movable chitinous shell originating at the base of the kuru and extending to the beginning of the tail. Chitinous collar with 6 spurs.
