What are the provinces doing when they are quarantined at home? Would they have e-classes or come up with new ideas for dishes?

The oldest Provinces, e.g. Shaanxi, are going oh schist, here we go again… as this may be the beginning of another Dynasty Cycle. They're just so old and world-weary that they're practically used to the scenario. The same goes for China himself, who is personally feeling the effects of the virus, except he is no longer allowed to return home from the last InterNational Conference… so he isn't really in a position to look after his siblings (*cough* Japan *cough*) and students.

Beijing, left to lead in China's absence, is trying to help his people gather information to keep them safe, but also doing so discreetly because he's still part of the bureaucracy, with Tianjin backing him up and keeping him grounded.

Shanghai is concerned and trying to work on some of his fashion projects. And finding a way to sell them without alerting his international customers of his… being Chinese. Because he's THE Opportunistic Businessman of the nation.

Jiangsu is trying to work on her interests in the arts, but also intensively studying the sciences to try to (mass-)produce a cure and testing kits for the virus. After all, she has one/some of the best universities in the country, and she'd be damned if she didn't make good use of her resources.

Hong Kong is too paranoid to go out and barely does that anymore, having stocked up on enough supplies to last him for the better part of a year… while still trying to secure international trade deals to ensure the survival of him and his people. (Also, I went to the supermarket earlier today and half the noodle/pasta aisle was out of stock, and so was the entire section that sells toilet paper.)

We're not very sure how the poorer Provinces are holding up, since it's not very easy to get a connection to them sometimes, and they tend to hang out in the more rural areas since they usually aren't as crazily industrialized. I'm sure that they are in hiding and/or dealing with COVID-19 in their own ways… though how exactly, we are not certain.

Hunan is trying to contact his twin against his bosses' wishes (i.e. to report on anyone in contact with Wuhan, cultural revolution style), to show him a little bit of support. They'd relied on each other for hundreds, if not thousands of years, regardless of regime, and nothing is going to change that.

Hubei is officially missing. No one is quite sure where he is. Some suspect he's in the quarantine "hospitals", though as a doctor or a patient, no one is sure.

Most of the Provinces don't really know what is going on, tbh.

Guangdong isn't happy about it (since she/they has always hated politics), but doesn't really say much about it.

Beijing is steadily trying to ignore the fact that half of the world is screaming at him through mainly texts. Because of the whole Tiananmen Square issue, he personally objects to using violence (as a diplomat/capital at heart), but his Bosses are perfectly fine with killing to get their way, and he is still a northerner at heart, so… he's conflicted and would rather not say.

Macau can't really help that much, so he's mostly a messenger figure for his brother.

HK is obviously ready to cuss up a storm and…do highly illegal things, but he's smarter than that.

Taiwan (I'm only putting her here because China would murder me otherwise) is staunchly supporting her cousin, though she can't do much about it other than joining the rallies in her cities, because she too is smarter than to take on China head-on in the political arena.
