Wales was the one who thought about creating a Celtic club for the Celtic nations to hang out, share culture and protect their culture. Ireland thought that was great and helped him co-found the club.

The club is called the Celtic League. It includes Wales, Ireland, Scotland, Cornwall, Brittany, sometimes Northern Ireland and Sometimes Nova Scotia. But Nova Scotia rarely can join due to being very far.

England and France are both banned from it.

Activities can include music jam, dancing although Ireland is a pro at it, food exchange, drinking, lot of drinking. Gaelic football and Rugby. Highland Games.

They usually speak their own language but with some, it's difficult because they aren't mutually intelligible but Wales is usually a great translator.

Wales usually hosts the meetings since he's in the middle. Maybe 60% of the time. 30% it's Ireland and the last 10% is shared between the rest.

If your characters (including Brittany, Isle of Man and Cornwall) were to be animals, what sort of animals would they be? Just a fun ask OwO

Oooooh I really like the question! :D 

I thought I would have written the ideas out as some point, but it seems like I never got around to it. So here are the animals that I think my characters would be! ^^  

Ireland - Red fox: I know a vast majority of people associate Scotland with the red fox, but honestly for me, it makes more sense to see Ireland as a fox. The fox is often treated as a nuisance and as a pest that needs to be eradicated… a bit like how the English historically treated the Irish! :D Perhaps that’s a bit too much on the nose, but a lot of comparisons have been drawn between the foxes and the Irish. I also headcanon that the oldest human name Ireland would have had was “Crimthann”, which is an old Irish name meaning “fox”. I just like connecting Ireland with the fox. ;w; 

Scotland - Red stag: As said before, a lot of people tend to associate Scotland with the foxes… however, I’ll raise you the idea of Scotland being associated with red deer. Especially the red stag. :D It’s my personal interpretation, but I always saw Scotland as being someone who is extremely proud and also tries to give off an air of noble courage. So yeah, the stag always felt like a better fit for Scotland.

Wales - Badger: This is probably a bit of a strange choice (as most people probably see Wales as being either a dragon or a sheep), but I kind of found that the badger fit Wales more personality-wise than any other animals. There’s the belief that badgers, if cornered, will lash out and bite the other in the leg and keep tightening their grip until they hear the bone snap. If you were a human in this case, your best course of action would be to grab a stick and break it in half, tricking the badger into believing that it had broken the bone and letting go. Obviously this is a complete myth, but the attitude attributed to badgers in the story really makes me think of Wales. A solitary and relatively passive animal, but if cornered the badger is a force to be reckoned with. There are also other aspects of the badger that I felt fit Wales, such as the digger trait and the endurance and determination of a badger. 

Northern Ireland - Hedgehog: I’m not sure if this choice seems very predictable. ;w; But yeah, the hedgehog seems to be a perfect fit for Northern Ireland. There’s his prickly attitude that is Northern Ireland’s best defense and very often he just wants to curl up and be left in peace. So aside from the protective aspect of the hedgehog, some other attributes connected with it that also match up with Northern Ireland is perception and intuitiveness. He can be pretty perceptive, more than his brothers realize. 

Now for the other OCs, I’ll freely admit that I didn’t develop them nearly as deeply. However I will still share what I think they would be as animals. 

Isle of Man - Cat: Yeah, I based myself a bit on the Manx cat breed, but I also feel Isle of Man’s personality fits into that of a cat pretty well. He’s quite calm and enjoys his own space, while still placing himself in a position where he can keep an eye on the others to make sure they’re alright. X) He has a bit of a standoffish attitude, but he’s definitely not unapproachable.   

Cornwall - Hare: Hmmm I’m not as convinced of this choice, but Cornwall is one of my most nervous OCs and that kind of reminded me of a hare. Other traits that are generally identified with the hare that I thought fit Cornwall are swiftness and vigilance.  

Brittany - Otter: I feel a bit more certain of this choice compared to Cornwall, since I think the otter fits Brittany pretty well! Otters appear in Celtic mythology as good-humoured teachers and protectors. There is also the fact that the otter is often thought of as a “water dog”, which implies their devotion and loyalty to family and those they cherish the most. So… values that fit Brittany perfectly! ^^
