For whatever reason I felt like sharing some of my thoughts about spuk today.
I kind of have this hc that Arthur's a really good story teller (probably because i've grown up with tlotr, hp and arthurian legends, plus, you know, the chronicles of narnia, alice in wonderland, peter pan and a lot of fantasy literature for kids and teens), and I like to imagine that, perhaps, back in the day and before all the drama, during the Middle Ages and first decades of the Modern Era, when Spain (and the different Spanish kingdoms) and England had a rather good relationship, when visiting England for whatever diplomatic mission, Antonio would ask Arthur to tell him some stories before bedtime, or during "nap time" after lunch, while laying on a meadow under the shadow of a tree, maybe a oak or old chestnut (so romantic u.u) It is kind of canon, I believe, that Antonio was a huge fan of chivalric themes and medieval heroic epics, like most of Europe at the time, and Spain fed a lot on the chivalric poetry and romance, not only during Medieval times, but also later on. It may seem out of topic, but Spanish conquerors and explorers (which would led to the begining of the Spanish empire), for better or for worse, were greatly inspired by both, classic epic, but also chivalric novels (maybe it is not a coincidence that the literary work that universally mocked the chivalric genre ended up being a Spanish production, Don Quixote). Medieval romance poetry is also a big deal in Spanish literature and folk culture, so it is only fitting he would enjoy fantasy tales and chivalric epic, as well as romance and poetry. The two would complement each other. Arthur would enjoy making up stories, and telling old chivalric romances, adding a little bit of magical and fantastic elements to it (like the magic cauldron tell, or magical swords, and whatnot), that Antonio would very much enjoy, while Antonio would passionately deliver passages from classic works, like The Aeneid, and recite poetry, also around the themes of chivalry and romance, while playing the lute, sometimes singing, rather than merely reciting the verses.
I also have this hc about Arthur being an exceptionally good archer and timidly trying to show off so Antonio notices him. On the other hand, I think Antonio would be skilled in the art of poetry, and be good at languages in general, making him a good rhapsodist. He would also be a pretty skilful musician, and play the lute, the vihuela and be surprisingly good at playing the clavichord (not at all referencing Antonio de Cabezón here). I even imagine during the times of Catalina de Aragon as queen of England he would try to teach Arthur how to improve his fingering and playing technic.
Just a few of my silly hc.
A bunch of cute old SpUk doodles of them over the years

Weather - Spuk:
England can deal with very cold temperatures, but melts in anything above 80*F (26*C)
Spain can deal with very warm temperatures but freezes at anything below 70*F (21*C)
Alright, it's ramble time™
I'm going to scream about how they're stupid dorks, so please enjoy! Either that or cringe, I won't blame you.
- So, Antonio likes to dance with Arthur a lot. From slow dances, to fast paced dances. He loves it. Arthur on the other hand, doesn't like fast pace dances. He loves slow dances, and finds them much better. So basically when they dance to a quick paced song and start going faster, Arthur has to attempt to get quicker. Usually he ends up failing, and they end up piled on the ground, laughing and just poking fun at one another. After it dies down, they lay there in each others arms, just silently listening to the music until Antonio wants to do it yet again. This cycle continues until they get tired or bored.
- These absolute madlads like to bicker for good fun. This ranges from the stupidest insults to well thought out roasts. "Ur mum gay" "No u" to "The only reason you managed to get the best Navy was because you won by an inch. Your skills were shit and you cheated too." "Well, it's better than fucking my way to the top like a little bitch. Your standards are as low as your sunken Armadas." "THAT'S NOT TRUE, YOU KNOB-" As serious as it sounds, they're just messing around.
- They're both really stubborn and stupid. Once they both stayed up all night because one refused to go to bed until the other did. They fell asleep on call.
- Speaking of calls, they call when they can. Their calls can go two ways; Complete silence with a few words here and there, nothing but a nice calm feeling. That, or total chaos where neither one will shut up about whatever topic they're talking about. They sometimes talk over one another. It's wild.
- Antonio and Arthur surprisingly cook together. Antonio makes a few jokes here and there, but they just enjoy eachother's company. Antonio helps Arthur and vice versa. When baking, however, Arthur takes over. Antonio cannot resist his pastries and other baked goods.
- Antonio loves to do accents, and he will use this to mock Arthur. Why does he do it? He just finds it fun. Arthur freaks out almost every time because Antonio's accent impressions are actually spot on and he has to take a minute to realize that.
- They share one whole braincell They're very stupid together, they have nothing to hide behind doors. They're awake at 3 am, both just slow dancing while Arthur tells Antonio puns and they lose their shit. They're just chaotic old idiots. Dumb bastards.
- They try to out play the other on guitar. Who wins? Nobody really, but they have good fun. Another thing: Arthur prefers Electric over Acoustic/Spanish Guitar, while Antonio prefers the opposite. Sometimes they switch around and listen to the other play their favourited guitar. It's pretty cool.
- Sometimes they're both too prideful, and it starts problems. Never asking for help from one another, always keeping quiet about issues, it can cause a strain for them. They always happen to find a way around it, thank goodness.
- Oh!! The way they sleep together. Arthur is a stiff sleeper and doesn't really move too much, and Antonio flips around every few minutes until he can get comfortable. Antonio stopped doing this after awhile, since Arthur is still and he can lay on him. He's pretty comfy for someone who sleeps like a piece of wood. Also, Antonio cannot sleep on his back. He cannot do it. So he's grateful that Arthur can. But yeah, they're absolute dorks.
- Cuddle sessions between them are super soft. They usually can be found together with Antonio laying on Arthur's chest while he's playing with the Spaniard's curls and reading. I'm interested in writing this one, actually. They're too precious.
I believe that is all I have for now, I hope y'all enjoy them!
I'll prove you're wrong 6/7

Day: 6
#EngSpaDay2018
Prompt: #20
Summary: Due to all his stress and mixed emotions, Arthur gets ill while Antonio is out.
Antonio had woken up early that Thursday, he had to go shopping, he was concerned about Arthur though.
He had not woken up yet which was really strange. He wanted to check if he was alright but what had happened the last two days had him down so he decided it was better not to disturb him.
Arthur was having a high fever.
The day before, after that wave of emotions and realizing his feelings for Antonio, made him dizzy and when he went to sleep he had passed out.
Hours passed and Antonio had arrived home.
-Arturo~- He called.
-R2D2!!!
-Arturito~- There was no response.
-Amor de mi vida~
-Arthur?- He started getting worried, it was really weird so he decided to walk into his room
Just to see Arthur's figure on the floor.
