Hetalia Headcanon #5

Prussia has built an entire birdhouse for Gilbird. And I'm not talking about a cute little birdhouse you find at the store. I'm talking about a birdhouse with several stories, a balcony, a pool, a hot tub, a porch, a beer cellar, a giant walk-in closet with dozens of cute outfits (all of which were made by both Prussia and Liechtenstein), indoor plumbing, working electricity, etc.

You know, just the essentials.

I guess in a way this could also count as a sort of parent/child relationship, since Prussia pretty much raised Germany, but I really like the angle Hima gave them as siblings who keep identifying as siblings even nowadays. I also love how Ludwig as the little brother is taller, more buff and more serious than Gilbert. It's a nice inversion of tropes! 💗 And despite being more chaotic and not giving it away, Prussia is also a very disciplined person and someone Germany can always count on to be there for him. I just- Eugh, it's always the found family trope in Hetalia that holds me hostage and makes my heart throb 😩💕

Tbh, I feel like sometimes in canon Germany is kind of too harsh on Prussia, like please let him do whatever he's having fun with, realizing your existence is no longer strictly 'needed' in terms of geopolitics and you might disappear forever one day is an extremely heavy weight on someone's shoulders, he needs and deserves to fill his time with anything he finds joy in to distract himself from thinking 😭🙏

Oh btw!! Gilbird (I hc his name to be Vogil actually OwO) is there too because I love birds I guess he must be very fond of Germany too since he basically saw him grow up and knows how much Prussia loves and is proud of him <3

On the other hand, if I don't think about this too hard, ye, I just enjoy their dynamics a lot both on a sillier and on a more serious level 🌸

Honorable mention for the Italies because I was actually undecided, but in the end I think I like the Germans a little more as siblings due to the fact that I like them both a lot (though I prefer Prussia), whereas Romano is a bit of a "weaker" link for me because I love Feli but I like Romano a little less than Ludwig.
