i have been mourning a breakup all summer, and in desperation i turned to reading white nights thinking that it could provide me the closure to move on. stupidest decision i could have made. now i am even more unhappy and bitter.

scrapped redraw of that iconic scene from the film. i saw a lot of similarities between iceland and the dreamer.

Do you know some fun facts about your country that you'd want to share with us?

Hm... Fun facts?

Well, the largest seed in the entire world, the Coco de Mer palm tree seeds are massive. They can weigh up to 30-40kg!

We also have the Aldabra Atoll which is the second largest coral atoll in the whole world. The Aldabra land tortoise is also one of the largest in the world.

There are also like... Zero venomous spiders, snakes, etcetera. We do still have bugs though... The mosquitoes are vicious...

Do you want to share some stuff with us about your past?

Well... There's really not much to share. Much like Iceland, Seychelles was never home to any indigenous people. My population was mainly made up of settlers. The name Seychelles actually comes from a French minister's name. Although, the Portuguese were the first to really discover the islands.

The British then Britished as one would expect. We gained independence, and now I'm a republic. That's pretty much it.

I didn't exactly interact directly with Portugal, France or England until long after I'd gained independence... Unlike Iceland, I was born long after the first settlers arrived on my land. Somewhere around when the British Britished. It was when my people, despite all coming from widely different and diverse backgrounds, started forming an identity as a people.

I personally headcanon france, seychelles (and sometimes canada) as a family and america and england as a family, though I mostly headcanon England , america and Canada to be a family. 👀
