The large shrub that’s outside my bedroom window is blooming. Turns out it’s an “Aphrodite” Hibiscus. (Also called a Rose of Sharon Hibiscus)

I’ll take that as a yes. 🥰

i hope everyone who has a complicated relationship with their mothers, for whatever reason, have a good mother’s day. i’m with mine for the first mother’s day since moving out and i’ve been doing a lot of processing in therapy recently of the trauma from my childhood (i have c-ptsd) and the pain she has caused me, while still loving her and being close to her. it’s confusing when you think of home as a place you dread being at. fortunately, i have the love of Lady Aphrodite who i often call “mom” and has held me close while i go on my journey of redefining what it means to be loved by someone

Finally getting to create irl altar spaces for 🌸Lady Aphrodite and 📜Lord Apollo 🥰🥰 it makes my heart so so happy and I can’t wait to grow these altars and really pour my heart into them

Working? Worshipping? Saying Hi?

So, it’s been a couple months since I re-established my relationship with Aphrodite into one of working with her. In those few months I’ve:

been reached out to by Apollon and Dionysus more than once

Nike has also said hi before

My altar has been dedicated to Aphrodite for the most part, and has shifted to more of a shrine as I do my spells throughout my room

I’ve delved more and more into HelPol.

This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, I’m just laughing a bit at myself looking back. I was so shocked and worried that it would end up taking up most of my practice and that I’d somehow not be progressing, and here I am. A decent portion of my daily practice is reaching out to Her and chatting and doing my daily routine in Her name, and I honestly feel great. My heart sings when I do my best to honor Her, even though I forget to do things on occasion, lol. Just proof that the Theoi are here for me even if I hold myself back. :)

I finally remembered I had a lighter and lit the little tea lights on the altar and I think it looks really nice :) i lost the remote for the fake lights though...
