☆ Camaraderie ☆ KJI & KYR
It was generally rather well known that Jongin simply wasn’t a people person. He was too moody, too introverted, too standoffish. And the worst of all, he simply didn’t care. Or at least he appeared not to. But it had been such a part of him for so long to avoid others and ensure that they wouldn’t get close to him that he hardly even noticed when he was doing it. Though a part of him, down deep inside in a place he’d never let anyone inside, he did yearn for acceptance and some kind of connection.
Sure, he had his brother, and most of the time he was enough. But other times Jongin felt as though he were holding the other back, that he needed to be less dependent on him always being there and manage to actually have some other support system. Not that it was likely, he was also aware that his thoughts about he situation were mostly futile and would only end up with no results. Because the truth of it was, he didn’t know how to interact with others so that he might let them in. He was too used to doing just the opposite.
The dance club decided that they wanted to try and focus on a performance with pairings, a choice that Jongin instantly dreaded as he knew he didn’t exactly have anyone he was close with in the club. And that was fine with him as he preferred to be alone anyway. But he’d ended up paired with a girl named Yura. She seemed nice enough, as far as he could tell, but that meant little to him as he was always more focused on the results of the pairing rather than his interpersonal relationship with the girl. It had been a week or so since the match had been made, and it was nearing the end of their time in the dance club when Jongin sighed softly. “I don’t know, this dance still doesn’t seem right to me,” he complained to his partner, hand placed moodily upon his hip. He wasn’t trying to accuse her, it was just a general statement. “Something just isn’t right. Am I the only one thinking that or do we need to rethink this?” he asked, a brow lifting incrementally.
