I'm writing a fic and scent bonding is gonna play a major role in it, that is until I realised I have no idea of the same. Please help me!!!!

A romantic way: Scent Bonding, sounds like to me a special kind of bonding. Like, instead of Love at first Sight, more Scent at first Sight lol
One whiff and that’s who they can only think of. Everything that smells like them, reminds them of that special someone.
Their scents start to mingle, a perfect match.
And for the other to not have any knowledge of the other, I’d think they’d have to scent/smell them somehow, it could be a lingering scent off of someone or something else.
Scent bonding could be something that mates do as a intimate thing. Could also probably be platonic, or even something between pack members. Scents are important and that’s how they reassure each other that they are safe and well.
Granted, I could be totally wrong. This is how I interpret “Scent Bonding”
