Anubis wasn’t a god to rely on others. Especially not for help. He always had been very capable of handling things on his own. Many described the god as a collected person. In stressful situations he usually was the one to remain calm. To suggest a solution for the problem rather than allowing his emotions to take the upper-hand.
Alas, the tables have turned for the god.
In his current emotional and fairly distraught state Anubis feared he wouldn’t be able to come up with a solution for the threat he was facing now. Well, to be exact, he thought there was a threat. In particular he thought someone would try and harm his son. He honestly wouldn’t be able to live with himself if something would happen to Baekhyun and thus he had to seek help.
It had taken the god a while to think of someone who might be both willing and capable to help him protect Baekhyun. His meticulous planning (for as far as he was still capable of doing that) had brought his mind to Hundun. The Chinese god of chaos. One wouldn’t think of it as strange, but they had become friends over the long time they had spend at Mount Phoenix. And today Anubis was going to test how far their friendship reached.
Entering the bar Hundun worked, somewhere in the early evening, the god instantly went over to Hundun. His usually spotless and rather stoic appearance was tarnished by his tousled hair, his cautious and wide eyes and the wrinkles in his dress shirt. “Hundun?” he asked instantly, clearly not his usual neutral self. “Do you have a moment to speak with me in private?” Putting emphasis on the last word, Anubis instantly cut to the case. Now was no time for pleasantaries when his son could be in danger.
