Saltiest Book Take: Invisible Women is a badly-edited book and doesn't deserve the high praise it seems to get. There are multiple straight-up typos in the book and the sourcing is abhorrent (like she'll mention a study that was done, and then you check the source only to see it's a url (not even archived) linking to a news article about the study). I can't believe how many people seem to think it's good.
Invisible Women is such a great example of a fantastic premise being ruined by a bad author. The author is a well-documented FART (Feminism-Appropriating Reactionary Transphobe). There’s lots of reputable studies done about how the male-default is harmful (CPR; medication; etc.). And this book could have been something had it been taken away from this horrible human being.
