Lee was sat in a booth in the corner, quietly nursing a drink as he observed people drinking, laughing, dancing. The whole town seemed to be out tonight and it astonished him how people changed with a bit of liquor in their hand. Friendships became mended, bad decisions happened in a second and it was all due to a woman behind the bar who didn’t look like she had been alive during the 90s. He smiled wryly to himself before someone sat across from him.
“Need a break?” There was a bottle of water on the table and Lee uncapped it for the person.
