bruise on left shoulder, healing bruise on chest, healing bruise on left arm, cut on left leg (disinfected), cut on right calf (disinfected and sewn shut)

Notes (i.e. plot advancements, general notes on what happened during the day, feelings on events):

got forced out of my little nest in the northwest then came across Lily.  Didn't want to kill her but also didn't want to be killed.  Killed her, took her shit, then went back to the little corner to rest

Arena Day Three

Location: Between Holes 14 & 15

Allies: Nope.

Weapons: Shuriken (5), Dual Edged Sword, Deer Horn Knives (2), War Hammer

Items: Packs A & J (missing some food stuffs), Pack of Hand Warmers, Down Vest, Needle and Thread, Medical Tape

Injuries: Bruise along collarbone, cut on cheek (cleaned), cut on hand (cleaned+bandaged), stab wound on side (cleaned+stitched+bandaged), cuts on legs (cleaned)

Notes: I did what I had to do. I just hope Rory wasn't watching.

Necessary Evil || Arena Day 3

Every step I take away from the grove of trees with the bloodied ground I feel a little lighter. Away from the little body who was so like Rory it was almost uncanny. Away from the captain america figurine and the broken trees and the confusing feelings of regret. I need to get away or I fear my sanity may not recover.

The trees gave way to another weather beaten fairway. the broken half of the cup flag reads fourteen, not that it matters to me. There's another line of trees on the far side of the fairway and I make that my destination. Anything to get me out of the open and away from Colt and Charlie. As I walk along the grass a familiar beeping catches my attention. The package lands a few feet in front of me and I hurry over, reading the note from someone I didn't know but thankful for the medical supplies anyways. 

My ears perk up and listen for any hints of other tributes in my new sanctuary but all that greets me is the eerie silence that's taken hold of the arena since the weather this morning. Seeing no reason not to trust the trees I plop myself down beside one not caring for the wet ground since I was already soaked. Out of all my wounds the worst was the one in my side and I peel off my shirt to find a small, but deep and ragged wound. Luckily Charlie seems to have missed anything vital but it's still bleeding and needs attention. Opening my pack I grab the antiseptic wipes and pat the blood from the wound before gritting my teeth and pressing the wipe against it, making sure it's clean. 

Next comes the needle and thread, I only learned the most basic of stitches back in the Capitol but it should be enough to last me at least another day and with the way the numbers are dwindling that's all I'll need. I bite down on the hem of my shirt as I push the needle in one side of my skin and out the other. Back and forth back and forth the needle weaves until the wound has been pulled together and I tape a clean bandage overtop. I spit my shirt out of my mouth with a cry. Fuck that hurt. My hand is probably the next worst so I repeat the process with the wound. The slices on my cheek and legs aren't too deep but I still make sure to clean them with a antiseptic wipe to keep myself infection free. 

I don't even bother trying to stay up for the fallen. Today has taken enough of a toll on me and I'll need all my strength for the days to come. I slip on my earlier sponsor gifts and slide into my sleeping bag before nodding off. It didn't matter to me who was alive and who wasn't, tomorrow was going to be a very interesting day.

Stitching Through the Forest || Arena || OS

As I limp back to where I had stayed the night before, I use my spear as a clutch.  When I finally reach the same opening, I rest down and begin stitching up my cuts with the needle and thread.  I wince in pain, biting my lip as the sharp needle sewed the wound shut.  When I finish one after what seemed like an excruciating amount of time, I spray it with the disinfectant from my pack and do the process all over again on my other wound.

Once I'm finished with that, I sigh and rest.  I have no energy to set up traps and protection so I'll have to be on guard for most of the night.  I let my wounds heal as I pick through Lily's pack and put on the night vision goggles as the darkness sets in.  Then I finish up the rest of the cooked venison and toss out the raw meat, that probably went bad by now.  I finish up the mashed potatoes and drink some more of the sweet tea, leaving just enough for another day.  By now, I'm decently full and I rest against the tree trunk, keeping my eyes peeled for any oncoming dangers.

Blown Away || Arena Day 3

I woke up to a terrible reality. The beautiful serenity of the Arena yesterday was gone. It was replaced by a fucking tornado. 

The wind was blowing fast and swirling around me and my cart. Just over the top of the tree I could see the swirling column of wind bearing down near my camp. 

Shit. I was not fond of tornadoes. They kind of scare the shit out of me. But I wasn't going to let that show, especially with the whole country watching. 

With as much speed as I could muster I leap from my bed and hastily pack it away in my backpack again. It sticks out a bit, but it didn't matter too much, I just had to get away. 

I jumped in the front seat of the golf cart and tried to start the engine. It sputtered and died. No, not here! I turned the key again and tried to urge it to go. No luck. I hit my hands on the wheels. 

I looked back behind me and saw the tornado wreaking havoc north of me. Calm down, Clif. It's not here yet. I took a deep breath and tried the key again. I willed the engine to start. There was a large grinding sound, but it fell away to the sweet sound of a working engine. I let out a sigh and smiled a little. 

Phew, that was close. I stepped on the accelerator and headed southwest. As I was riding I saw a couple of tributes in the trees. This was getting better. This was what I wanted. I turned the cart towards them and raced to the upcoming fight.

Disturbia || Arena || OS

As I'm resting by the waterside, I suddenly hear a rustling from close-by.  Instinctively, I gather my stuff and hide behind a tree to see who it is when Lily, the girl from Twelve, appears.  She looks distraught and exhausted, and while I don't want to kill her, I know that I've done nothing since the Bloodbath.  Maybe this will appease the Gamemakers and the viewers for a bit.  I sigh, uttering a soft apology to someone, who knows, before I quietly step out from behind the shadows.

My Tears Could Cause More Damage Than These Floods || Arena Day 3 OS

I woke up way closer to the water than I was last night. I was surprised the shitstorm of a hurricane didn't wake me up first. Then again, only Caradoc could rouse me out of my sleep. And he was dead. The winds were blowing the green to shreds and the rain was coming down hard. I was completed drenched in water. But I just lay flat on the soaked ground looking up at the thundering sky above.

The storm and I had a lot in similar.  We both wanted to rage and scream and wreck havoc on this sorry arena. The only difference was that did not have the strength to do so. Caradoc was my energy and spirit. 

I pick myself up from the ground, gathered my belongings and head directly north. The storm reminded me of the rain in District 12 right before Caradoc and I left. I moped onward, forcing the memories away from my mind. 

Along the way I could make out a boy, running slight southeast. I think it was the Asian looking boy, I really couldn't tell. I thought about going after him but he wasn't my target. So I ignored him, letting him go on his marry way and kept going north. 

Three cannons boomed shortly after I passed the second hole. Just one more death and I would be among the top ten. But would winning give me? Caradoc is what I want I need. Not money, or fame. Screw that shit. Bring Caradoc back to me, and maybe, just maybe, I'd stop being a fucking cynic.

I slowed down when I reached an area full of uprooted trees. I estimated that was directly west from the first hole in the group of trees that sat above the second hole. It seems a tornado flew by earlier. Whatever. Good enough for me. I don't care anymore. I settled down, nestling my self behind a crap load of fallen trees. I assumed my earlier position, staring at the storm that was just starting to die down.

RUN RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN || Arena || OS

I wake to loud crashing and winds chilling me.  I immediately sit up, spear in hand, ready for action when I feel the torrent winds thrashing against my little makeshift home.

Shit, I mutter under my breath as I quickly scavenge everything back, including the three pointy sticks that I've made.  In the rush of everything, I figure that my traps are useless now against tribute or prey so I start heading West when a large tree crashes down in my way.  I quickly survey my options and instead head down south, toward the bottom of lot 1 in hopes of avoiding the dumb robot that attacked me with golf balls.

Once there, I keep walking southbound through what's left of the woods in between lots 1 and 2 until I reach a body of water.  I frown; the place looks obviously flooded.  I make a few rounds a few yards from me to make sure that the area is clear until I reach back to the edge of the water right between the two lots.  I know better than to drink untreated water, but I use this opportunity to clean up a bit.  Just because I'm supposed to fight to death doesn't mean I have to smell nasty.
