Fable’s ribbon haul. Fable and Apollo both got their first Rally title too!
Our apartment is just getting closer and closer to my dream place.
The evolution of my room over the past several years ending in the most recent. I feel so much more comfortable and fresh in my space nowadays.
Our first day in Bangkok was pretty great
Man I love Tractor Supply
My mom with Apollo and me with Fable went in to get some dog food. One of the employees came up to my mom and asked her if she could pet Apollo. My mom told her yes and I sort of ducked down an aisle to avoid being asked.
Despite that, the employee saw me and asked. I told her no, I’m trying to get Fable to ignore people. She said oh okay and asked if I was training Fable as a service dog. I said yes and she mentioned that a lot of people bring their sdits into Tractor Supply, and then i went back to food shopping.
After we’d gotten everything and were heading out of the store, my mom ran into another employee who asked to pet Apollo. My mom said yes. I was coincidentally down the aisle at the time and hidden from the other employees sight.
The new employee pet Apollo for a while then shouted out to the first employee we met, asking her if she had seen the dog. The first employee yelled back that she had, and told her not to pet the white one (meaning Fable).
I loved that interaction, and it fits right in with what I’ve experienced at Tractor Supply before.
Me: I'm depressed and don't want to go to the gym
Me as soon as I sit down in the bathtub: man I wanna go to the gym.
Tell me bout where you got your poods, amd about their heritage. Any family members in particular you find amazing?
Storm and Isis are both mixes. My grandparents actually have Isis’ half sister. She’s nice.
Apollo and Fable are half brothers with the same mother. Fable’s parents are now neutered working service dogs, and Apollo’s father is a working service dog as well, though I’m not sure if he’s neutered. Apollo and Fable both come from a service dog organization who until recently, didn’t have much time to head out to shows and put titles on their dogs. They have a lot of working service dogs and therapy dogs in their pedigrees.
However, their great grandsire was a multiple time grand champion in Russia, because their grandsire was imported from Russia, and their great granddam is a multiple time grand champion in Russia as well.
Fable is actually linebred, so he traces back to that Russian line on both sides of his pedigree.
Apollo’s full brother from the same litter, is also a ukc champion who Fable beat to gain his ukc championship. The same dog later beat Fable in their first grand champion leg together, and he is also titled in rally. One of his sisters is pointed towards her ukc championship. Apollo’s aunt is one, if not the, top ranked poodles in agility. Fable has a half sister from a later litter who became a ukc champion at 7 months.
There’s probably more, but like I said, there hasn’t been a lot of time for Fable’s breeder to get out to shows because she’s busy running a non-profit lol. She has had more time lately, and I really enjoy going to shows with her and her dogs.
