oh no yeah magnifi is an irredeemably awful person, zero good points.  just.....the biggest asshole, christ. 

i always feel incredibly bad for thalassa-- after her first husband died, she must have been pretty desperate to come back to that dick (of course, she was only what, 19 at the time?). there’s a reason i think it’s magnifi’s fault apollo was given up for adoption. i don’t think he was happy with thalassa going off and doing anything he didn’t have some degree of control over. 

poor apollo (in this particular au) would have had to deal with the jackass for fifteen years, give or take. he would have had his mom and zak&valant (both zak and valant can be/are dicks, but like, i can’t see them being mean to kid apollo lol), but after thalassa “”died”” especially it’d still be a shitty situation.
