"LA GRAFFANIMA"
by Jason Botkin
"Figures turn inside out, dressed in their emperor’s finest; bodies unwrapped to explore inner worlds, emotions, and ideas; vapors and clouds permeate architectural structures of unknown purpose. . . ." Montreal-based artist Jason Botkin says this tapestry of elements is offered "with the belief that unconventional art inspires others to think in radically different ways." In addition to exhibiting his work across Canada, the United States, and Europe, Botkin says he's been involved in more than 200 mural projects since 2009, including this 2013 work on the eastern edge of Chinatown in Los Angeles. Now almost six years old the work was inaccessible for much of that time, but the opening of @ApothekeLA — The @TimeOutLA "Most Stylish Bar" of 2018—on the lot of @ZynderiaStudios between Naud and Spring Streets has opened a whole new gallery of street art to the public. @robotkin/
