This Hazbin Hotel friendship collage is of Vox and Velvette, since I did a ship collage of StaticMoth during pride month and wanted to do ones of Vel with her fellow Vees. After all, we'll be seeing a lot more of them in the second season.

I'm glad she's in good spirits today but goodness I feel awful. She developed a hotspot and some skin irritation under her ears after swimming for a few days in a row. I thought I'd dried her off well enough each day but evidently not :(
First time dealing with a hotspot. Been treating the area with sulfodene and diluted betadine for two days now since that's what a few forums recommended. It's looking a million times better now than it did when I first noticed it.
I think in the future I'll use a little bit of hotspot shampoo during her rinse off after swimming to help prevent this from happening again. If anyone has specific recommendations for hotspot shampoo that'd be nice
Salutations everybody! I just watched both new episodes of Season 2, and hear are my thoughts!
This is gonna be a lot longer than my first post, mainly because I wrote that when I was done, compared to this one, which I actively updated as I went on
Lucifer I love you but you lowkey failed Charlie. WOW That’s a crazy way to start this but. Luci did you and Lillith teach Charlie ANYTHING about politics? Anything at all. I had to pause multiple times just to facepalm at her practically handing the Vees ammo. (Expect a post about how Lucifer is lowkey responsible for the hierarchy in Helluva Boss in the future)
Charlie was really relatable in episode 3, because I too cannot read complicated social cues for the life of me because I expect people to be honest about their intentions. The only difference is I’m not a future monarch. Charlie honey I get wanting to get everything done at once but you need proof for these things.
Good to see Vaggie actually get mad at Charlie for inviting the Vees to the hotel because she knows the damage they can do. I don’t know how canon the pilot still is but it did establish that Vaggie is knowledgeable about Hell politics. I headcanon she goes out of her way to research this stuff because she knows she’s a fish out of water and needs to be informed.
Only Hazbin Hotel could make a love song called Piss. Also I was holding Cherri’s new voice actress to high standards since her pilot voice was an incredible singer, and she fulfilled them!
I’ve also been holding a high standard for Cherrisnake since I wasn’t fond of it. Cherri just never seemed to show anything but hate for Pentious. I really like how neither of them are sure if what they have could be called love. They didn’t jump straight to love for both, instead showing how Cherri regrets not knowing Pentious more and how this combatic relationship that could only form in Hell represents how Pentious misses the place. This is a long way for me to say queerplatonic Cherrisnake ftw
Really like Angel being mad at Charlie for inviting the Vees to the hotel without asking him. She knows Valentino is in their group and she knows the damage Valentino has done to Angel. But you also understand why Charlie’s doing this. She’s desperate to help people but she doesn’t understand how to fight back the damage the Vees are doing because her parents never taught her. She wants to believe she can reason with them but doesn’t account for how awful and selfish the Vees are because not trying to be humane about it undermines the hotel’s message. It’s a catch-22.
Speedrun to Redemption is in a similar boat to Hazbin Guarantee (Trust Us) to me as it works really well for the story, I just don’t like it as a song. The entire song feels like a manic episode. Charlie’s desperate to redeem Angel but she doesn’t really get how to do it and on top of that it’s a time crunch like last season which adds to the theme of ‘why isn’t this working from last time.’ Redemption takes time, but time is something no one is willing to give Charlie. It also adds to the theme that she’s unintentionally hurting her relationship with Angel because while she wants to help him, she wants to help everyone but is accidentally doing it at his expense.
Once again, Charlie is really bad at not giving the Vees ammo, she quite literally dressed up as a mustache twirling villain.
Husk saying he shouldn’t have said anything made me giggle. Did Charlie ask if he could help and Husk was like ‘if I say yes this will be over quicker.’
This theme of Charlie wanting to help people in any way she can but damaging her relationships also hits with the train thing. She thinks being willing to sacrifice yourself is the key and maybe it’s a testament to how much she believes in Angel that he could save Husk without dying, but that’s an angelic spear tied to that train. If he wasn’t ready for Heaven, that could have permanently killed him. And I get that she didn’t know Vox would cut the brakes, but she could have tied the ropes looser. These things can permanently kill people. It shows how she’s not thinking things through all the way in her desperation.
Niffty what the fuck did Husk do to you. She pulled that cord with murderous intent.

Again, really glad to see Vaggie being more firm with Charlie. And glad to see that Vaggie bringing Charlie down to earth is what let Charlie truly see what got Pentious in the clouds.
Why is Angel being a murderer treated as this jaw drop reveal? We’ve seen him kill multiple sinners and angels. Although him killing his own dad is a nice backstory drop.
Yes Charlie! Show some spine! Don’t repeat your father’s mistakes! Also really like how despite Vox being awful, she doesn’t say he’s irredeemable. She honestly believes anyone can change and grow.
Really funny that Velvette seems to be the only Vee that can’t immediately leave. Vox can teleport and Valentino can probably fly (he has wings) meanwhile if she does something dramatic she has to walk like a normal person.
Also love Angel being mad at Charlie for overstepping his boundaries! He made it clear that he wasn’t ready, and she indirectly trampled on that. She overstepped like she did in season 1 because he hasn’t fully explained why she can’t do that and she doesn’t understand why she can’t step in.
Love Cherri checking in, but babe your default to everything is bombs. I think this is gonna take a while.

Lucifer honey. You only showed up for the last stretch of the fight. At least Alastor was there from the beginning. And you had one conversation with Charlie that doesn’t seem to be effective atm. (Expect a post about how Alastor and Lucifer powerscaling and how that relates to the themes of this season.)
The line about Katie only then meeting Charlie really doesn’t help with the question ‘is the pilot canon’. Although you could argue Katie forgot she met Charlie, but she fistfought the lady on live television.

I get why some people are upset by the reveal that Rosie is the one who owns Alastor’s soul, but I really like it. For one, it gives Rosie a little more devious since aside from the cannibalism (crazy ass sentence) she didn’t seem too evil in season 1. And another thing, I really like this turn for Alastor’s character. Because from this standing, he really doesn’t have any genuine friends. He owns Husk and Niffty, he only sought Charlie out on Rosie’s orders apparently, he broke things off with Mimzy and Vox, and Rosie owns his soul. Anyone he’s on good terms with, it’s a business standing. We don’t know how he feels about anyone, not even people he tolerates. Is he so he can gain more power, or does he like anyone. He has no one he can be vulnerable with, and I love that for his writing.
I’m noticing a pattern; the human backstory versions of characters are the first time I’ve found them hot. First Pentious and now Alastor.
I get the point of showing that Alastor killed a guy for spilling wine on his suit was to show his ego, but I get that man. You know how hard it is to get stains out of white? Especially red? I got vaccinated a month ago and I bled out a little into this white shirt I was wearing. Had a mini panic attack.

Also since Rosie’s a cannibal do you think the skeletons are people she and the town have eaten the meat off and kept around for some reason. Also also the fact that Alastor knows the words you think this isn’t the first time Rosie’s sang a musical number essentially equating to ‘you need to get humbled motherfucker.’
Really like the imagery of Alastor sitting on a bench near a statue of the Morningstars as he gets an idea. It makes it understandable what he’s going to do but it’s vague as to who he’s going to approach. The most obvious choice is Charlie which. Alastor c’mon. Is this really the first time it’s occurred to you to use your favor with Charlie to untie your soul. You’re supposed to be two steps ahead man, 2020 tumblr was drooling over you for a reason.
KATIE JUST CASUALLY DROPPING THE EXTERMINATIONS HAVE ONLY BEEN HAPPENING FOR SEVEN YEARS. THE HELL. Ok I personally would not have made that writing decision but I guess we’re doing this now. Ok so the Exterminations were an annual event, so there were only seven. How many people could the Exorcists have managed to kill? What was their time window? This raises so many questions.
Once again. Charlie makes things worse by rushing to clear her name instead of waiting for proof. We’re gonna have to get one of those child leashes to hold her back aren’t we.
It’s pretty cool seeing the live chat respond to Charlie. And it’s nice that at least someone (Catweed) is trying to hear her out. Also who is MicandCheese lmao what’s their beef with Charlie. Also I hate to say it, but there is a point to be made about how Charlie’s privilege has made her a bit blind as to what conditions are living in, but she’s at least trying to understand. Granted she’s not doing great but attempts are made.
I like Clean It Up more than I thought I would. I wanted it to expand on Niffty’s character and. Well it established that she does think Charlie will succeed and that she’s a kind boss. Granted she called everyone trash but she likes trash and enjoys cleaning it up, so maybe you could say she believes they’ll get cleaned up.
Vox really left right in the middle of sex with Valentino the moment he heard Alastor’s voice huh. Also if they were fucking why was Velvette there.
Man I am getting rewarded with the women this season huh. The idea of Velvette live streaming her fights not just for the clout but so she can pull digital icons and mix them with her witchcraft and turn them into weapons is just so fucking cool.

I really like that only when Niffty was at gunpoint and couldn’t escape that Alastor surrendered. I think she’s the closest thing he has to an actual friend. There’s a lot of potential to explore her character here and her relationship with Alastor and why she means so much to him.
Dawg Vox is not beating the former relationship allegations; this man threw an entire parade after getting Alastor as a prisoner. No one throws a parade if it was just a rejected business partnership. How much do you think he just had this in storage.
