That's right... For the first time in SEVEN YEARS I'm going to a furry convention this summer with @apotheoseity, @captainstarburst, and @justabunchofpineapples!! I'm BEYOND excited to go to Eufuria 2024 this July!! :D

LMAO well you already know. but i wanted to talk abt them so everyone else gets to know also:

i have another au in my head that's more of a.. slotting my ocs into the roles in the actual game but these two specifically Aren't a part of that, i imagine them as like. just little side characters in the actual game. type of shit people did with undertale where they'd make an entire fangame for a boss they thought up for One specific area of the game yknow

Starb (not specifically a captain starburst au, i imagine him more in between nix and starb, or more specifically he's just Me) here is a monster that's visiting hometown for an unknown reason, and ends up accidentally falling into the cyber dark world in the computer lab while he's visiting the library. i imagine he's a miniboss the protagonists encounter where he fights you because he's terrified and thinks you're the same as the enemies that keep attacking him, and the entire fight you have to calm him down enough to get him to understand that you're not gonna hurt him.

fizzle plug (the tesla au here) is similarly another "miniboss" you can fight, but his whole gimmick is that after only a few turns he gets tired and falls asleep and you can just pacify him immediately LOL. if you spare both him and starb you can end up finding them together closer to the end of the chapter and they'll talk about having immediately fallen in love with one another. you get the option to tell them a lightner and a darkner being together sounds like a bad idea but neither of them will listen ❤︎

of course the protagonists would eventually seal the fountain, and i imagine at the start of chapter 4 in the section where you can walk around hometown you can go find starb just kind of. sadly sitting and waiting in the library because he wants to see fizzle again. you can offer to bring him to the castle town (everyone tells you this is a terrible idea and you should not be bringing this random fucking guy you dont know. but you can LMAO) and there'd be special cute dialogue for him meeting up with fizzle again and stuff. and you'd be able to fight them together in the dojo with new synced up attack patterns. it's so cute to me to imagine

in general i really really enjoy how the dark worlds quite literally represent fiction and i like considering that through the lens of. well im someone who's in love with a fictional character and i view that as being real. one of the themes of the whole game is the bonds we make with fictional characters and just. i know the concept of a lightner and a darkner falling in love is probably going to become so so tragic when we get information from the later chapters. i can see it coming. but isnt there a tragedy to it in real life also?

moral of the story is i think they're cutesies though
