Living near Hasetsu had its perks, it meant he could visit the home town of his idol, meant he could drag his coach to the hot springs where his idol grew up, not just to spazz over the legend himself but to relax in the lovely hot springs Yu-topia Katsuki offered, after visiting that one time for the Grand Prix live stream he’d found it very difficult to stop visiting! Every time he had a free day, or a free weekend outside of practising he’d catch a train to Hasetsu.

Sometimes on his own, sometimes not. This time it was on his own.

This time didn’t feel like any other time he’d been there, nothing special really, sat in the comfort of the large outside bath, soaking his young and tired body in the hot waters of the natural hot spring gosh how lucky had Yuuri been to grow up there, grow up in such a wonderful and peaceful place.

And it was all broken by the very abrupt opening of the door that led out to the bath, the sliding glass door slammed open so fast Minami was sure it’d smash! And his head whipped round so fast he actually cracked his neck a little, which… didn’t actually feel bad he’d had a weird crick in his neck for a few days now after landing pretty rough on the ice during his last practice, he’d been practising one of his quads and had landed funny, spiralled out of control and right into the wall.

It hurt basically.

He did not expect who was there though, caramel eyes widening in awe, Yuri Plisetsky, what on earth was he doing in Hasetsu? Did that mean Yuuri and Viktor were there too?! Holy shit holy shit holy shiiiiittt WAS HE SUDDENLY IN THE SAME BUILDING AS THREE OF THE TOP FIGURE SKATERS IN THE WORLD?!

“Uhhhhhh….” Words, words would be good here, stop staring Minami, stop it, everyone’s naked it’s weird stop it he’s only like, 15, cut it out. “Uhhhmmmm” just bury him in the yard. Say something stupid, no… no say something smart don’t say something stupid! “H-hello” nailed it.

❝ Mamma I have to go. Ti amo. Yes, yes I- pfft, of course I’ll remember. Ciao. ❞      Pocketing his phone he turned to walk back inside the hotel when his gaze met that of another’s, supposedly out to find cellphone service as he had.

Only that glare on his mug was mildly irritating. 

❝ What? ❞ he challenged him, with only the red tips of his ears to indicate any form of embarrassment.

If this shorty so much as breathed a word about him being a Mama’s boy he’d be sorry. Of course he loved her it just. . . it had just bothered him in the past when others had teased him for it.

☼ How long do you stay mad?

That really depends on what the issue is tbh, if it’s something silly and stupid that I can laugh off, then not really long at all. but there are some things that really stick with me if they hit personally, and while I’m not a very stubborn person, there are some things that I refuse to just let go. and being angry doesn’t really bother me lmao it doesn’t feel like a waste of time like some people say. I thrive on anger and shit talking.

HMM an rp pet peeve is when things get really unrealistic in certain threads. it’s kind of difficult to explain, but for certain things that you can do in a realistic way, it’s more fun to put the detail into it and work around actual realistic details if that makes sense. but then in other cases I love throwing realism out the window lmao it’s such a strange thing to explain

like!! i understand the time crunch and all but like... a lot of things don’t really make sense with that confirmation?? Like if his mother was there, why did he literally just bounce from the building with his suitcase BY HIMSELF. 

He never talks about her, either. All of the focus is on his grandfather. His mother doesn’t pick him up from the airport, isn’t at the Rostelecom Cup that we see. So why would she fly all the way to Hasetsu to watch him skate? Is her actually being at all his skating events ret-conned too or?

Also, if he’s the main provider of his family, does she work? And I can get how he’d be reckless enough to drop cash on a plane ticket to Japan, but considering his grandpa drives a piece of shit looking car, why would his mom drop money on a plane ticket to Japan if he’s the only one working??

ANYWAY sorry this confirmation kind of bothers me and honestly doesn’t make any sense and leaves more questions than answers.
