Apple Bread Pudding
I’ve been referring to this as my “Clean Out The Fridge Bread Pudding” because that’s exactly how it happened: I was cleaning out the fridge.
Wasting food is something I’ve always tried to avoid, however I have been guilty of letting things go bad (especially produce) and then just tossing them in the trash. I have even referred to the produce drawers in my fridge as “the rotter.” Now that we…

MOTHERFUCKING TITSLAPPING APPLE BREAD PUDDING B|
MAKE THIS SHIT AND PUT IT IN YOUR FACE.
WHAT YOU NEED:
Stale bread. That loaf of bread you made like two sandwiches off of and then forgot about it. Like 20 oz or something. Whatever, you got stale bread, use it. If you go to the store and buy some spendy fresh artisan bread for this project I'm not talking to you.
An apple or two. Those two kinda bruised apples sitting in your fruit bowl that you've been pretending you're going to eat. You're not going to eat them. You hate bruised apples. Make pudding instead.
(I suppose you could add raisins if you're into that sort of thing.)
5 eggs.
3/4 cup brown sugar.
An eensy splash of vanilla, if you like.
Whatever spicies you like in your apple things. I like cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg. Teaspoon of cinnamon, quarter teaspoon of the other two.
2 cups heavy cream. Why do all these recipes call for 2-1/2 cups when heavy cream comes in one-cup or one-pint cartons? A pint will do just fine.
3 cups milk.
(If you happen to have 5 cups of half-and-half sitting around for some reason, you can totally use that instead of the milk and cream.)
WHAT TO DO WITH IT:
Heat things up. And by things I mean your oven. 325 F.
Chunk up your bread and your apples into bite-size piece and put them in a ceramic or glass baking dish.
Break them eggs in a large bowl and beat them. Stir in the sugar and spices, then the cream and milk, until it's all nice and blended.
Pour that magic over the bread and apples. Take a spatula and kinda press down the bread to make sure everybody's in the pool.
Let it all sit for like fifteen minutes.
(THIS IS A GOOD TIME TO CHECK AND MAKE SURE YOU TURNED THE OVEN ON.)
Check your rack. No, your oven rack. Is it about in the middle? Cool. Pop that shit in.
Bake uncovered for about 55-65 minutes depending on your oven, also known as the longest hour of your life.
Check tumblr to kill the time.
Play video games or something.
WHEN IT'S DONE the top should be light golden brown and it should be set but still jiggle a little. Do not fear the jiggle. The jiggle is good. The jiggle is your friend.
Let cool for about 30 minutes or as long as you can stand.
Grab your tits, your junk, or both, as applicable.
Dance around, if desired.
YOU JUST MADE MOTHERFUCKING BREAD PUDDING.
EAT IT.
