This is an apple seedling.

I was eating an apple at work when I noticed its seeds had already germinated inside of it and my cultivating-conscious kicked in so I had to take them with me.

For a month or so they grew in my southern window in an egg karton and I forgot to water them a lot but this baby made it; all growing and glowing.

I gave Hephaestus a new, slightly larger home.

I was worried about him, cuz he never grows, but when I pulled him out of his old box, he has Roots.

So, I’m hoping he’ll be okay.

The leaves get bigger by the day.

Jonas is an apple tree grown from seed that will be grown indoors in the winter instead of being allowed to go dormant outside, just because I want to see what happens

Theyre in cat food cans filled with water and a plastic bag with water in the bottom that gets misted every day with a spray bottle. There's three holes in the top of the bag to allow airflow, but other than thay it gets zipped shut.

Best way to sprout apple seeds is to gently peel off the dark brown coating (whicu is therr to protect them if they get eaten) and plant them in some sort of setup like this-- warm and humid.

A heated seed starting mat would also work, and at the last house I had them propped above the radiator.
