My queen Felicia, has given me three new youngin. There is another new little sprout a little further off but it hasn’t pushed out a leaf yet. My plan is just to let the children grow in the pot to make a fuller pot-- we shall see how it goes.

The war with thrips and mites is ongoing with this one

This is an apple seedling.

I was eating an apple at work when I noticed its seeds had already germinated inside of it and my cultivating-conscious kicked in so I had to take them with me.

For a month or so they grew in my southern window in an egg karton and I forgot to water them a lot but this baby made it; all growing and glowing.

Some of my random succulent leaves were outgrowing the abandon to exist stage, so I have thrown them in together into a pot. I’m curious to see how all the young ones will look as they grow!

My moms succulent composition has a few new additions. The burros tail shed a whole bunch of leaves so the pot is filled with them 😊

Our office manager came asking around if anybody had some plants left that could be brought to work; to liven up our new floor a bit. So I did a small contribution :]. Our office has windows all over and daylight comes in plenteous. I bet the small Spider plant (Chlorophytum) and the purple Wandering Jew (Tradescantia zebrina) will do much better here than at home.

The roots of the biggest of the jackfruits, Jackie, had already reached the bottom of the pot I planted it. I re-potted it in a larger terracotta pot with a mixture of cacti-regular potting soil with a layer of hydro grains at the bottom. Maybe a little rash, but at least I’m pretty sure I won’t have to disturb the young roots in any way the coming two years.

As winter has arrived here and the days continue to be short and dark, I was afraid Jackie & Chan, being tropical plants, wouldn’t receive enough sunlight to keep up their growth. So I put up a small LED growth lamp. They grow towards it on the darker days, so it seems to be helping.

We’ve pricked out our final last late batch of tomato plants

We grow many varieties, with plenty still at various stages including tumbling Tom in hanging baskets

We plant our tomatoes into Levington M2 compost.

Tomatoes need plenty of food once they start to flower.

We recommend Vitax High Potash Feed, which is much stronger than traditional tomato feed.
