Ingredients: 2 cups all-purpose flour. 1/2 cup granulated sugar. 2 tsp baking powder. 1/2 tsp salt. 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon. 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg. 2 large apples, peeled, cored, and finely chopped. 1/2 cup milk. 1 egg. 1 tsp vanilla extract. Vegetable oil for frying. Powdered sugar for dusting.
Instructions: In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg. In another bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, and vanilla extract. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until well combined. Fold in the chopped apples into the doughnut batter. Heat vegetable oil in a deep frying pan to 350F 175C. Drop spoonfuls of the doughnut batter into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, turning them occasionally for even cooking. Remove the doughnuts from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. While still warm, dust the doughnuts with powdered sugar. Serve the Easy Apple Doughnuts and enjoy!
