something something touch grass
Looking back and remembering how my political education went the last 6 years feels so weird.
Like 6 years ago I would have called myself a leftist, while having read 0 theory and being a member of fucking VOLT, things I now would consider somewhere very far to the right of my current political standing
4 or 5 years ago I began reading theory without being able to comprehend anything as more than a theoretical Idea, that seemed so impossible to actually be used. But still I believed in the need to stick exactly to what was written.
And then someday it just made click and I just was able to use the theory I had read. I dont even know what exactly made the change, maybe it was changin jobs or actually getting further organized around 3 years ago. But currently I feel more than ever, like I actually understand what Iam talking about when I talk in rl or online about the systems that make up capitalism, or how europaism is constructed in a similiar manor to nationalism.
What I think Iam trying to say is, that understanding theory, any theory needs you to actually apply that theory to your real situation and not just look at it from an abstract pov.
