but he had to try. he had promised he would live well. he had to try.

and so, today, he was taking the first step: peppino, arm still in a sling, affixed a sign to the outside of his beautiful and beloved pizzeria, beholding the thing before sighing in surrender to the circumstances. the sign bore a simple but potentially life - changing set of words:
