AppStart. The first iPad app you should get.
A lot of friends and family picking up their first iPad or iPad 2 ask me, "What apps should I get?" My reply is, "Well, what do you want to do?". I try to tailor my suggestions to people based on what their current interests and needs. Wether they want it for business, entertainment, browsing, social networking, music, sports.. the list goes on and on.
While I like helping my friends and family, I'd also like them to discover some things for themselves. I don't want to influence their choices too much and have them miss out on things. So my advice going forward is to check out: AppStart for iPad - AppAdvice.com
You can see from the screenshot of AppStart for iPad start screen it pretty much asks what I ask my friend and family, "Well, what do you want to do?". AppStart for iPad gives you a head start for discovering apps in a very elegant way. It features easy navigation, descriptions and links to the apps suggested. It is much prettier to look at than the iPad app store and lot more informative than me telling you, "It's wicked awesome".
