last book: pachinko by min jin lee...somewhat depressing but *my god* it's so good

last movie: fall (2019), watched due to my friend. i have a huge fear of heights, 0/10 do not recommend on that metric alone

last TV show: cowboy bebop,a friend is inducting me into the show :)

sweet, spicy, or savory: i love savory, but i'd have to say sweet (and unfortunately i have very low spice tolerance 😭)

last thing I googled: yuki tsunoda podiums, for a fic (none in f1, praying that changes soon)

current obsession: deep and lasting? f1. of the moment? an instagram tv show called 'eavesdropping', i'm a little obsessed :)

looking forward to: the summer!! i haven't even gotten to the third round of midterms but they can wrap it up and go home i want to enjoy life again

What is the origin of your blog name?

blatantly ripped a new friend (at the time, shoutout @kingfisherprince)'s method of translating cool words into latin. that's how i came up with apricus (that and being described as sunny one too many times), but it looked short, and i have always loved the rain and storms, so...apricus-imber! zylon-monocoque, the f1 sideblog, did the same with googling cool-sounding f1 terms and smashing two together that sounded reasonable lol.

What's your "I will always order this" food?

always a big fan of a Big Bowl food. also adore chicken and carbs in all its forms, notably noodles and pasta.

What's your overused emoji?

😭,😂, and💀are in heavy rotation.

Current comfort show/movie?

hmm, been hunting for a good long one. watched modern family last year and still trying to get over it. but the current adoration has been young sherlock on prime.

Song you've had on repeat this week?

the hand by annabelle dinda. it is incredible. highly recommended to everyone who likes lyricism and doesn't like being exhausted by the patriarchy.

What's the last thing you hyperfixated on?

young sherlock probably😂everyone in my life has heard plenty about it and it's great. also mildly obsessed about chess rn thanks to the lovely kingfisher.

What's an oddly specific thing that brings you joy?

right now? the vase of tulips sitting behind my laptop on the kitchen counter! my parents got me flowers when they visited recently :)

What smell instantly makes you happy?

i adore the smell of jasmine, it will instantly remind me of home. or fresh flowers, really. lots of others tbh, i am a scent lover through and through.

What's something you loved as a kid that you secretly love now?

dress up games lmao. on occasion i'll dig out the old websites i used to play on and put together a silly little outfit.

What's your phone wallpaper right now?

a skeleton holding a handful of playing cards, because i'm Cool and Edgy like that...i'm planning on changing it soon.

Are you a morning person, night owl, or something else entirely?

depends really, i could do either well enough. currently writing this at 4:30 am but i've also stayed up till then with little issue.

i like that i keep pushing myself to do more than the bare minimum, even when i don't feel like it

i'm proud of myself for prioritizing self care and letting myself look and feel good

i like that i'm pushing myself to make more creative work and be less scared of sharing it.

actually, i just like that i'm not afraid to face my fears

and i like that i care about the people around me so much, and i'm open about showing it :D

1. do you make your bed? occasionally i bother, but nah not really

2. favourite number? 12! also 24, and 48...the more things it can be divided by the better

3. what's your job? none immediately, but soon to be an intern at a really cool workplace :)

4. if you could go back to school, would you? yes, i'd want to keep learning for the rest of my life

5. can you parallel park? gimme like 20 minutes in an extremely low-stress environment and i can pull it off

6. do you think aliens are real? oh 100%

7. can you drive a manual car? no, but one day hopefully

8. guilty pleasure? pinterest...lemme sort all the pretty pictures into boxes :D

9. tattoos? no, but maybe someday.

10. favourite colour? lavender...wild guess i know

11. favourite type of music? open to pretty much anything?? currently alternating between classical music and alt/indie rock

12. do you like puzzles? certain types, yes very much! (love all sorts or word puzzles...the rest, not so much)

13. any phobias? don't vibe much with heights, or darkness, or small spaces...there's a lot haha i'm trying to get over it.

14. favourite childhood sport? swimming! swam competitively for 13ish years :)

15. do you talk to yourself? in my head? all the time. out loud? only if i know for sure that i'm not being heard.

16. tea or coffee? tea, but i don't really have a preference :) they're both cool i don't drink much either.

17. first thing you wanted to be when growing up? an author!

18. what movies do you adore? so many bollywood classics (shoutout rab ne bana de jodi for the first movie i remember seeing in a theater, and ajab prem ki ghazab kahani for being my favorite childhood movie) but i love chris nolan movies as well :)

they're blue! robin's egg blue, and i have an accent wall that is a geometric pattern of oranges/corals and blues :D

i made swedish cardamom buns a few days ago, and i had that and cinnamon dalgona coffee for breakfast.

25. would you get back together with an ex if given the opportunity?

nah...the one i have is a very good friend still so i'm good :)
