Perfect Imperfections
“Everyone is perfect in their own imperfect ways. The word itself spells I’m-perfect.There is a kind of beauty in every imperfections. We’re perfect in our imperfections.Secure in our securities. Happy in our pain. Strong in our weaknesses. And most of all, happy in our own way. I am who I am. It is easier to be happy if you look beyond imperfections than trying to hard to be perfect. Why are you even trying hard to be perfect if you are already one by your imperfections? Beauty and imperfection are a great combination. They lead to perfection. In your simple ways, you won’t even realize that your beyond perfect. Remember; Every simple imperfection adds to your beauty. It will always be the imperfect people that will make you perfectly happy.”
Bad Before Good || April/Alice
For the second time this evening, Alice was making her way to a Hawthorne's bedroom.
Of course, this time was much less troublesome, and did much less to her anxiety levels. And thankfully she could dress in much less constricting clothing, as it seemed that buried beneath the Versace and Gucci and Dior there were clothes that she didn't feel guilty sleeping in. The t-shirt she wore was surely made of finer material than anything she'd worn in the past five years of her life, though the shorts that hung around her thin freckled legs (that were slowly losing the discoloring bruises that had littered them) had a tag displaying a brand she'd never properly heard of. Still, she felt comfortable now, able to slip into the role of the eager friend. (It was easier than the other roles she'd played.)
Tousling her thick blonde locks, she focused on the evening; listening to whatever ramblings April had to offer, maybe a bit of fawning over the new kitten--though she truly hoped the thing wasn't crawling with disease, because that would be the cherry on top to a debilitatingly anxious day--and braiding hair. Braiding April's, letting her braid her own (and she hoped that she wouldn't suffer too many knots from it). It would be easy, a simple "girl's night" that would help further secure the notion of protection in Alice's mind. Pausing outside the door, she offered a saccharine smile to the wood, before knocking. "April? It's me."

Thank you.
This picture sums up the whole Mayercraft experience: Show yourself. Be yourself. Enjoy yourself. Play hard, so that you are in debt to yourself, so that you must then work hard to repay it. You’re not better than anybody else, but NOBODY is better than you. Can’t dance? SAYS WHO? And when you’ve returned to dry land, back into your roles, where the world tells you what to do again, right before you start doing it, you’ll smirk and think to yourself “That was big, big, fun.” The word “fans” doesn’t cut it. Thanks for one of the best times of my life.
Love
John

Hanami In The Rain
Cherry blossoms (sakura) were in full bloom this weekend, and with them came the event known as hanami. In spite of the cold rain, I grabbed the trusty M8 and walked a park in Shibuya to take it all in. As I was strolling along, I spotted some movement in the treeline and followed it to find a makeshift forest rave party. It was fantastic. No trouble, no tension, no threat of the shut-down. It was like a 15 minute detour into the sixties. The pics are in black and white but that’s actually the way I remember it. The kids are all right…. I had to include a photo of me dancing like a fool, because I don’t feel right taking pictures of something like that if I didn’t actually take part in it. I can’t explain it but I think it’s a spiritually sound concept.
