Stormy Faye The Christian Runaway Answered Prayers :) Answered prayers are on my horizon. I’ve been running around trying to figure things out, on my own. God never said I should be out in the storm. He is El Elyon, El Shaddai, The Lord God. I wandered off, stepped from under His protective covering and got bodyslammed by the world’s hailstorm. Hardheaded me! Yeah, go ahead. Shake your head. I deserved it. I knew better. But hold up, bruh. Stop the phone lines, sis. Before you get going on the judgemental speed dial. Can you please take a moment to self-assess? I can’t be the only one! Naw! There have to be 1 or 2 dozen other wayward runners in the room. I tripped. I stumbled. Got spiritual detours like a road map of the High Five in rush hour. But lo and behold (that’s fancy talk lol) God is still an involved parent. A loving parent. I see His light. It’s bright and fills my heart with a warmth of hope. Answered prayer is on the horizon. I know it’s on my horizon. I’m activating my prayer life and thanksgiving to position myself for the next season. Where to next, Lord God? Curious-natured me, still wonders and questions His who, what, when, where, why, and how come, like the temperamental child that I sometimes am. (shhh! Don’t repeat that part. I pretend to be a grown-up some days) However, He indulges me. I don’t always get the answer I want at that time. He provides the answers and the resources, in its due season and with my spiritual maturity level. I’m still working on that part. (Once again, don’t go repeating stuff. B/w you and me) (Remember our pinky promise?) I’ve been reminded this week that it’s not my job to figure out how God does things, how he works things out. Why should I? Everything He does is perfectly done, in perfect timing. Why am I trying to get all up in His business?!!! I’m going to go take a seat because I trust that my answered prayers are on my horizon.
