Wow, I like this! It's an apt. in West New York, NJ. Much cheaper than my apt. at $2,000mo. 1bd, 1ba, 2nd fl. Look at it, what do you think?

Like the modern railing.

Amazing how the current tenants decorated it like a mansion.

I like the galley kitchen, but they don't seem to have a table. I guess you could put one in the living room area.

Beautiful remodeled bath. West New York is a little too far for me, and my lease isn't up until Nov., but I would consider something like this.

Felix turned a 350-square-foot tiny apartment in Berlin into a colorful plant-filled sanctuary.

He used shades of yellow, red, and pink to paint the walls.

Macramé supplies on the wall above a table. All the macramé is handmade, from the hanging planters to the wall decor.

To make it feel homey, Felix didn't buy new stuff. Nothing in the apartment is new besides the bed. He found every other piece of furniture at a flea market, a secondhand store, or on the street.

He made a greenhouse in the corner of the bedroom and in 3 yrs. has accumulated over 80 plants.

The kitchen is full of plants, too.

Before & after he thrifted a wardrobe closet for his clothes.

Outside the bedroom is a balcony that he decorated.

Last spring, after the lockdown, muralist Maggie’s rent went up an extra $1200. Like most New Yorkers, the rug was pulled right out from under her, so she found a 320 sq. ft. apt. in Brooklyn, New York City for $1800 mo. (A steal.)

Clearly, her murals really make this apt. wonderful.

After living alone for 2 yrs., Maggie didn’t want to go back to having a roommate.

She looked at a lot of reasonable rent apts., all in unsafe neighborhoods and luckily came across this one on Craigslist.

There were no closets, the kitchen cabinets didn’t match, and the bd. was tiny, but she knew she had to jump on it and make it work. 

The sunlight coming in was gorgeous.

Of course her mural is her favorite element.

The biggest challenge was storage. She bought 3 closets from IKEA and liked that she was able to customize them.

It took hours to cover the mismatched cabinets with contact paper.

The bd. size and layout was hard- it’s only 8′ x 8,’ so the bed would be on one wall and the dresser on the other.

She was able to fit a small night stand next to the bed.

I can’t figure this apt. out. It’s for rent in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for $1,195mo. and is supposedly a studio apt. So, they plopped a fridge, stove & sink in front of the window.

In the middle of the studio is a square that the landlord built.

So, it’s a closet. 

Climb the ladder and is it a sleep loft? 

Off to the side is a moldy shower and double sink.

Purple toilet nook and a washer/dryer (well, that’s nice having laundry in the unit). I guess you can do something with it, but it’s very carelessly constructed.

How is it possible that this apartment on Central Park West has no windows, only skylights? I saw this and found the listing- it really doesn’t have windows. Take a look.

This is a 1bd. 1ba. apt. on Central Park West in New York City, has no windows, and is for sale for $599K. (Instead of the normal 20% percent down, they want at least 40%.) There’re windows all around this building, so where can this unit be?

Look at the fancy lobby. 

They must’ve converted some attic space or something, but the # of the apt. is 107, which would indicate that it’s on the 1st fl. Maybe it’s an old janitorial space in the back of the building. 

So, you walk into the living room. Nothing but walls and a skylight. 

The kitchen is off the living room, and doesn’t have a skylight.

The bd. has a skylight. This would make me claustrophobic.

Small walk-in closet.

And, the bath.

Apt. above a store for rent for $1,150 in Providence, Rhode Island.

The rooms are so narrow. This is the living room. 

Next to the living room that, by the old tile on the wall, was either the original kitchen or bathroom.

This, which may have been a closet, is now the kitchen.

And, this surrealistic room w/the sloping floor, and filthy toilet, is the new bathroom.

Hilton & Fiona’s absolutely gorgeous plant-filled industrial loft in Baltimore, Maryland.

Pretty bright green dining area- I LOVE the faux finish on the walls! (They’re very proud of that DIY.)
