🌟 warcraft in general!
Send me 🌟 and a topic and I’ll talk about what I like about it. - still accepting
I think Warcraft’s flexibility is my favorite thing. Like - you can do or be WHATEVER the fuck you want. Zombie werewolf who wields an axe and summons blizzards from thin air? Done. 12,000-year-old elven ranger who can call upon the power of the Moon Herself to smite demons? Have fun. Sleazy capitalistic gremlin with an aptitude for constructing wolf-headed gunships? There’s a market for ya.
There is so much material and so much leeway WITHIN the material that you can basically do whatever you want. Something somewhere probably backs you up. Maybe. And if it doesn’t now, wait an expansion or two and the content will probably be created. The cultures and races of Azeroth and Argus and beyond are weirdly shallow while also… not being shallow. Blizzard is doing a pretty decent job lately at giving their new races and factions some much-needed depth, as well as going back and adding tidbits to their older peoples to round them out a bit. The Vrykul, a bunch of 9-foot-tall Vikings who ride dragons into battle, revere a plant. Who knew?
Warcraft allows you to be as silly or serious, as fluffy or dark, as regal or vulgar as you ultimately desire. And you aren’t confined to any one part of the spectrum; you can move fluidly from one to the next, and you’d still fit within the fantasy of the game. Hell, that’s how you fit yourself into Warcraft. It allows for so much creativity and interpretation and personal developments and I love it to utter pieces.
