I just rewatched the F1 movie. Do I believe it was realistic? Not really, but it’s movie so I’m not harping on realism. 🤷♀️
However! I think the most unrealistic part was Sonny going for Kate when Ruben was right there. I mean, they had 100x more tension and an actual emotional connection. Their scenes were much more impactful and the ones I was rewinding again and again.
I’m just saying I wouldn’t have been mad at Sonny and Ruben 🤷♀️

I haven't even watched the movie and for some reason Sonny Hayes already pisses me off.🥀
thinking about the parallels between sonny’s crash in spain and joshua’s crash in monza (both ‘risky moves’ where they went on the outside of a right-hand turn)
it’s implied that emergency personnel were slow to show up to sonny’s crash (the tv channel, ‘looks like he really needs help,’ etc) and then the first thing sonny does when he sees joshua crash is get out of his own car and try to help (because he knows what it feels like to be stuck, to be laying there with nobody on the way?)
i unfortunately am not very coherent about this right now but hopefully you guys can see the vision. does sonny have nightmares about joshua’s crash, like his own, where he doesn’t get there in time? does sonny blame himself? does sonny see himself in the way joshua risked it all, and ultimately lost, for a chance at a win he never got?

as requested! i think that sonny warms up to it eventually. makes for good running music, on the rare occasions where he does run to music. ruben tried to get him to do the dance, but that didn’t turn out well, lol.
